Help....How can i recover lost chat messages?

Hi mylotters, need some help here. My PC stop functioning since Friday and it wouldn't restart. I was able to got it fix and reformatted it today. I had re-installed all the programs including Yahoo messenger. Now my problem was that i couldn't able to retrieve the save chat messages there. It really makes me feel sad and frustrating as i really needed that chat scripts. It is very important to me and to my fiance as we need it as our supporting documents for the visa. I hate to think that it will be gone forever. Is there anyone here knows how to retrieve it or does anybody here experience the same? Can i possibly retrieve it? Please help. I will appreciate any helpful response. Thanks

i do not think that it's possible.
you have reformatted, right?
and i do not think that some softwares that claim to recover files even after reformatting can do that since Yahoo! Messenger stores saved conversations as .dat files, and the only time you can get them readable is when you open up your archives and save them as text.
I'm afraid you have to procure those vital information again.

Though I have not met such situation, I think this is not at all problem. All the chat message will be saved in the main server of the messenger only and not within our system and it is also independent of the system we are using. You can retrieve it anywhere, your messages as like our mails.If you have copied and saved the message in your system, then it may not be possible to get back. Try to recover them and all the best.
