my girlfriend's sister is 17 years old. She recently date this guy who is 20. They suppose going out to dance tonight. The guy asked her parents' permission to taking her out. But her parents refused his request. Because she still a teenage, a little girl. I thought that is okay. They should let her out and have some fun instead of lock her up. What do you think? What is the best age to date for a girl?

I think that 16 or 17 years old is the right age for dating a man of 18, 19 or 20 years old. That is if the girl and the guy are sensible and responsible people. My aunt tried to say no to my cousin when she was a teenager dating a man and she did it behind her back. Locking a teenage girl up can cause problems so discussion is important. Therefore the girl will not feel happy at being so restricted. Going to a dance sounds a decent date and other young people could do a lot worse.

Well im 16 and my boyfriend is 20. My parents are perfectly fine with it. They werent at first. They hated the idea cuz its such a big age difference. But after begging and pleading they finally agreed to meet him and let him take me out. After they got to know him they started to really like him. And my parents are pretty stict. So i dont think that there is really a certain age or anything..
