I am sick of hearing how I am suppose to support my community, that I need that community spirit. Now we are forcing the next generation to believe in this non-sense that the community is something so special that you should want to volunteer. The only community that I think is special enough to volunteer for is my household. So if the kids want to volunteer for the community they can go outside and mow the grass.

Aren't their child labor laws that are against this kind of thing? I mean really my 5 year old can not go out and get a job for even 5 hours a week so why should he be able to "volunteer" for 5 hours a week. Heck even 5 hours a month. I am hoping this stays not being mandatory. But if it passes I can see it being made mandatory a few years down the road. Goodbye free will, goodbye freedom of choice.

Obama's hero Saul Alinsky mapped out Obama's entire plan for the US. If we don't accept it willingly, he'll see to it that we're forced into it. Freedom of choice for We the People and Obama are strangers.

Well, yeah, if somebody wants to 'volunteer' under the give act, they can't be active politically or whatever. They have to follow what the government tells them to do. In essence it eventually could lead to a little army that could be ordered by Obama to do whatever he wants them to do. They could even publicly protest about it, because that's forbidden under that act.
