We received a visit from my younger son and his fiance and we learned that our older son is in VancoUver, B.C. getting upgrading training for his job. My daughter=in=law is pregnant and he wants to get it done so he does not have to go when she is six or seven months along. So I am wondering, my sons were twins, and twins run in my daughter-in=law's family. So could it be twins this time? Well we will wait and see.

She is about 2 or 3 months along so not sure. If the baby is born in October, then it is not a twin, but if it is earlier, they are twins.

It could well be twins! Both sides of the family make it very possible. Twins are on my DIL's side of the family and they were overjoyed to know that they were having twins. But such hard work. My grand twins are all over the place and get up to so much mischief but I love them so much. My DIL is here for a week. She works in dubai and she misses them so much, seh has two more years to do but I think that she will take them with her in September after the summer break. It is right that they should be with their Mommy but how I will miss them!

If I recall my genetics classes correctly, the twins factors are determined by the bride's genes.

Well, I am sure you are thrilled to be a grandmother very soon. Your daughter in law should be able to find out if she is carrying twins or a single child. An ultrasound will give reliale information. It would be good to know beforehand. There would have to be extra preparations in case of twins. Best of luck.

Wow, I guess you have a very good chance of having twin grandchildren! I used to want twins but then I realized how much work one baby was and was glad I didn't. Then the other came along before the first one was a year old and boy, that was hectic!! I admire mothers of twins that are still sane.

Is your daughter in law getting very big? I hope that the babies are healthy if she does have twins. At least if a person has a twin maybe they will have a friend in life, someone to hang with and to talk to. I really do believe that I have twin somewhere and wish so much to know who he is and to talk to him.

There is a high probability that it will be twins. I guess to be sure you can have it ultrasound to see how the pregnancy is coming by. I really think Ultrasound is a very important tool to see how good the pregnancy is progressing along the way.

Well, I would say that with twins running on both sides of the family that there is a great possibility of it. However, I have known families that the twins skipped a generation so that might be the case too. I hope that she has a safe pregnancy and a healthy baby. Keep us posted on the baby news!!

I'm an identical twin, I'm not sure about the odds, maybe for my kids.

Well, if it runs in both families, I imagine that there is a possibility that it might be twins. But you never know. It could be twins, like it may not be twins. Although it may run in the family, there is also a possibility that it may not be twins. I guess you'll just have to wait and see. And congratulations on the coming child or children.
