My new Challenge on Hubpages

April 14, 2009 4:12pm CST
Many writers are always undertaking challenges so I think it is time I should start one. I am calling it hubbing for adsense, and basically I am going to create as many hubs on hubpages as possible and see how much adsense I can earn from them between now and June the 1st. It is a worthwhile challenge as I have some knowledge of keywords, how to create quality backlinks and am an average writer. Oh and I forgot to add I am very determined, so if I want to succeed normally I will. I plan to write hubs on a variety of topics but mainly heart health, and each hub will be featured on one keyword. Do you use Hubpages? How much do you earn from there? Have you set yourself any challenges lately?

Hubpages is going to be the next site I conquer. I signed up as a fan of a friend months and months and months ago and never went back to the site. Of course my friend hasn't been posting so I didn't really have a reason to visit until I started spending more time with writing.

I think there are a couple factors involved in that starting with the things you are writing about and ending with how you are promoting your writing. Most of the stuff I have seen from you has been health related. What other topics do you regularly write about?

Those are all pretty good topics that people would be actively searching for as long as you have really catchy/creative titles. I started a discussion called "Planes, trains and automobiles." A few people who responded did so because they thought it was about the movie but it was about travel. Outside myLot I might have had to use a different title that was similar. For an article on saving money I would lead with something like "Money Stretchers" as opposed to one that mentions how to save. Phrases that use a twist on a theme and humor are good ways to attract interest. One of the things I like about AC is the ability to submit images with articles unlike helium. Photos are very important to people noticing a print article and could gain more page views for online ones.

Good idea about the titles and pictures. I think I am having a bad unmotivated evening here and as a result being very negative

Well here's a giggle for ya... I signed up for hub pages over a year ago, but have not used it because I had no idea it was such a powerful tool! I'll be using it now for sure. Any tips on how it works? I never got that far!

Yes, I was a member of HubPages. I earn a point fluctuation, highest: 95. Now it may be around 60, because I'm lazy to write there. Add "hsofyan" on HubPages.
