It is almost Tea Time

United States

Well we less than 24 hours away from the Tea Parties. I am exciting to see that it has grown so big. It is nation wide. Fox news will be covering some of the major cities that are holding them. We will have to wait and see what the other networks do (or how they spin the story). I hope there is a HUGE nation wide turn out. But I also hope that they all go peacefully. What are your plans for tomorrow? Business as usual or are you going to a Tea Party? Going to watch it on TV? What do you think will happen? Will it have the desired affect with our elected officials?

I'm so mad because I'm still sick and that's after two rounds of antibiotics... so I don't know if I can make it to one. If there was one closer to me I probably would go anyways however it's not and I don't think that I will be able to walk after the drive. I'll be honking my horn at noon at least. My Grandparents are going with a group of friends... Isn't that crazy having grandparents, (and my grandparents are not young) who are actually out there with picket signs...lol. I'll be watching it on TV... I'll check all the stations but I doubt any other but fox is really interested in showing the true spirit of this event. I wish our elected officials will wake up however I hope it's large enough to really grab attention. You got to think that with it being a Wednesday and the economic times some people who may want to go can't miss work, which is sad. My husband is bummed because he's overseas and can't go. He's kinda relieved that I'm too sick to go because he was worried about me getting attacked by Obama's Extreme Fans. I don't believe anything like that will happen.

I'm in Chautauqua County. Yeah I'm on a second round of antibiotics. Had some really bad sinus infection that I can't shake. It breaks my heart I'm missing out on all the fun but I'm glad that Fox news is paying attention to us. If it wasn't for the closest one still being a 30 minute drive from where I am and the fact that I know after that drive alone I wouldn't be able to walk I'd go, but I don't dare. I wish there was more I could do. I'm here watching Fox News and writing letters to my representatives.

I had big plans for going but I am sick as well. I am sick from a tick bite and am just starting antibiotics today, I feel horrible, but I so much wish I could have gone! I'll be watching it all on Fox I guess. I'm in NY too, Dutchess County. Are you far from me?

Just two more hours until me and hubby will be going down to the state capital. I cannot wait, I have my signs made, hubby has his Don't Tread on Me flag down off the flag pole and is ready to bring it with him. Today is going to be big for the future of the soul of America. Let us take America back.

Yeah at mine there was one guy walking around with a sign that said If you want real change vote for Jesus. Others walked around with pro-life signs.

Good luck and be on the look out. Some of the other rallies have had trouble makers show up. Or poeple showing up with signs that do not represent waht the rallies are really about. Like in washington DC a few poeple showed up with signs saying lower minium wage and tax work not wealth. They need to be run off.

Depends on the weather as I'll have a toddler in tow. If it rains I will catch it on TV, but really want to go. This is a small town, I don't expect many activists to show up. They probably go more to the metropolitan areas. I just hope people will finally be able to get the message across. I also hope that the mainstream media finally gets its act together... you know there is always hope and change, lol;)

No, I did not go to a tea party, I went to my Economic Development and Economic Reasoning Seminar classes. I caught the "moment of zen" on the Daily show last night though - hilarious.

I want to go, but I'm sick. I used up my relatives babysitting this morning to get to the doctor. So I will be home, watching on TV, sadly. Give 'em hell for me, OK?

Personally I am surprized that is has not gotten a lot more National and regional attention than it has. I have actually heard of only like one place that was doing something around here, and I live in a Bigger city. I am all for for what people are really trying to do, and proclaim here, but I am not sure there is anything that people can really do either unless the people in charge see a need to Stop taxing everyone so much as well.

I must admit that I'm curious to see how it turns out. I hope someone other than Fox covers the events, preferably someone like C-Span, because I know Fox will do whatever it takes to make it look like there are huge crowds no matter what. What I'm most interested in seeing is how things play out between the GOP and Ron Paul supporters, whom I understand are angry because they feel the Republicans stole their idea. I understand a package was sent to the White House which caused an evacuation. Annie

Campaign for liberty (Ron Paul supporters)are there. THey are fine with the GOP for now (comparing the GOP did not started the whole thing). They are just happy as can be that this has gone nation wide and that so many poeple are showing up. This was a grassroots rally. It started small but then once it seems like it was really going to get big the GOP jumped on board. Of course CNN is saying the GOP did it all. OF course they will not give the grassroots organizations that put this whole thing together (like campaign for liberty and restore our republic). But heck they are used to not getting credit for anything they do. HEaven forbid the news actually report it correctly.

It's a shame none of the mainstream media take the tea parties seriously. But I'm sure they're just following White House directives by not covering them. Anything for their master.

Fox News is going to cover it pretty heavy. But I do not know if CNN or MSNBC is going to. If htey do you can count that it will not be nice. CNN did a story on it a couple of days ago. It was nice to see them cover it....but it would have been nice if they would have actually covered the event and not just criticizing Fox news for covering it.

We are having 2 here in Greenville South Carolina. One today 4/15/09 they are calling it a pre-tea party and one on Friday. Our first one last month we had over 2,000 people. This one they are hoping to have over 5,000 at each event. I will be at both and will be posting pictures from each one. I will post links as I get them up
