Moderators? Where for art thou?

I know that as members of MyLot it is our responsibility to kind of moderate our own discussions and the moderators (or whatever they call themselves) step in in extreme cases. But tonight I would have given anything for one of the anal-retentive mods from other forums who are constantly locking and moving discussions that are in the wrong category. I went to look at the discussions under "reading" and nearly two pages worth of discussions were from the same person and not a single one of them had anything to do with reading...or books or magazines or newspapers. There were discussions about radiation from using the computer and I don't even remember but this person had posted two completely different discussions about radiation...under the heading of READING?!?!? And this wasn't even a newbie. This person's rank was nearly 1000. At that point you should fully understand that discussions regarding radiation poisoning from using your computer should go under the COMPUTER heading. Once or twice is one thing...15 separate discussions by the same person on the same day all in the same completely wrong category?? Am I just being grumpy or is that the point where reporting this person becomes appropriate?

Yes, you're grumpy. However, you're also right. People need to pay attention to the category they are posting in. What's funny about your story is that they posted these all under reading, and obviously do not read very well! I would think that Mylot would eventually move them or delete them, causing this person with 1000 posts to soon loose quite a few of their postings. I'm still working out how the reporting goes because it seems that I've never personally heard back from Mylot about the few questions I've had on questionable threads, and the threads are still up. In short, I'd not get worked up. I'd simply answer threads you find merit with, and toss the rest. Namaste-Anora

Maybe it was based on something they read ... Radiation poisoning can also go under Science, Health, or my catch-all favorite, Life. It can go under People as well, who use computers. But I do agree the Reading heading ought to be about books, articles, or even graphic novels that are being commented on. Maybe the person has a different interpretation.

Did anybody respond to their discussions?
