Do you find sleeping to long is a waste of time? When you sleep until the afternoon, do you regret it or are you happy you had some extra sleep? Can you sleep early the same night, or do you have a problem getting to sleep? Take care, have a nice day.

Hi, Margajoe! No, I don't find it sleeping too long. Especially if I really needed the extra rest. Like if I was sick or extremely tired. But, if I needed to be up and about, I will not sleep for so long.

Sounds reasonable. When you need extra rest, then you need it. I think we all need that every once in a while. Thank-you for commenting. Take care, have a great day!

If it is a constant non stop sleep, I don't think that I could do it. I never sleep past 9 in the mornings. So, that would be a very long time for me. I would have to have a very good reason to sleep that long.

Hi, i think sleeping for some extra time is not bad or waste .if you don't have any work to do.so why not just sleep for some time. i have always felt that after a long sleep when i wake up i feel so refreshed and relaxed and after that it gives me more energy and strength whatever work i involve myself...

Well, when you feel good it is okay. But, when I sleep to long, my back hurts me more and sometimes I even wake up with a head ace. Then I get irritated because I have not done everything I wanted to do. I slept the whole day, I cannot work on my studies. Thanks for commenting. Have a nice evening.

The only way I could ever sleep that long would be if I were ill. If I were ill it would not be a waste of time to sleep that long, but otherwise it would be. I keep thinking of everything I need to do.

Yes me too. By thinking of everything I need to do, I am tired before I start. Do you experience that too? Then I don't get anything done. Being ill, then it is better to stay in bed. Thank-you for commenting. Take care, have a great day!

i actually do. i find that i like to pack tons of things into every day and if i sleep too long, i feel as if i have wasted that time that i could be doing something else more constructive.

Well, it depends. If the previous night i stay up late, then i don't think getting extra sleep is a waste of time. On the contrary, i will think that i really need it. But if i don't go to bed late but get up very late the next morning, then i will feel ashame. :D I just think i should cherish my time and spend it in sleeping. Good day.

I can go to sleep very easy, but I am a light sleeper and anything can wake me up. Eight in the am is sleeping late for me. And I cannot stay in bed until the afternoon. So I get my extra sleep in those 15 minute to half an hour to an hour naps in the afternoon. I would regret sleeping until the afternoon. All those hours wasted. And I could never sleep early the same night. I feel that would be a waste of time.

Same here. When I sleep to long I regret it too. And in the evening I cannot get to sleep on time. Then my whole rhythm is out of control. Thank-you for commenting. Take care, have a great day!

It is not only a waste of time, over-sleeping makes you sleepy all the time. So it is better to limit sleep to the required hours of 5 - 8 hrs per night.

Absolutely, that is the way I see it too. But some people will just sleep and sleep. I don't understand that, especially in the summer time. Thank-you for commenting. Take care. Have a nice day.

Sometimes I do think of that. Hehehe so even if I'm feeling sleepy I still forced my self to be awake o_O especially in the afternoon. But sometimes...just sometimes, if I really need to rest, I sleep until I gained back my energy ^_^

That sounds reasonable. I hate forcing myself to stay awake. Like know, I should go to bed. But no, I just keep on here at my lot. Thank-you for commenting. Take care, have a great day!

I think taking a proper duration of sleep is the requisite of every human being as it relaxes ones body and brain. But sleeping too long is completely a wastage of time. The human body is governed by certain rules and if one will not follow these rule then starts the process of sickness, laziness, etc.

Well i have been told that in the first 20 mins of your sleep that is when you gain most energy. im not to sure after that though but some lorry drivers sleep for 20 minute intervals to limit the amount of sleep they have but maximize the amount of energy

I don't know about that. I only know when I go to sleep for an hour, I wake up more tired afterwords. That only helps if I am really tired. For me 20 min would never be enough. I would be so grumpy. Maybe they mean the negative energy builds up. In that case they would be right. Thank-you for commenting. Take care, have a great day!
