Hi everyone I have a difficulty of sleeping in day time when I need to work midnight. I do not feel like I have slept. No doubt I have a 8 hours sleep in the day I still end up being tired in the night. Anyone in the same shoes as me? By the way is there difference when you sleep in the day and in the night. For me YES Regards Thanusha

I unfortunately had to do this for about 8 months last year. I was put on the night shift at the job I worked, I had no choice either go to this shift or no job at all. In the end the whole place closed and everyone there is out of a job. Currently I am jobless. To answer your question, you have to get used to it. Form a sleeping routine and try to stick with it. Night sleeping is really the best sleep you can get, but you do what you have to do to survive. 8 hours does sound like a sufficient amount of sleep. I hope you get used to it soon.

I wonder how long it would take to adjust. Probably a little while for me.

He chevee. I cant imagine being in night shift for 8 months. I am only assigned for night shift twice in a week and I cant seem to tolerate that. I am really hoping to get used to it as well. Tried alot but I just cant sleep in the noon and be awake at night Regards Thanusha

Hi missybear I understand how you feel about it. I am also feeling happy everytime I complete my night shift. Sleeping in the afternoon never comes like sleeping in the night Regards Thanusha

How long have you been working at midnight? It would be hard for me at first but I think after a while it would get better. Yes, I think I sleep better at night, more sound and restful sleep.
