Which came first, the egg or the chicken?

I say that the chicken came first because someone had to lay the egg!!!

I have thought about this many times and am always stumbled because the chicken had to come from somewhere.. right?? ugg.. let me know if you ever find the real answer to this question

I agree. It takes a hen and rooster to create the egg and the egg (embryo) must be incubated to develop into a chic... so even if the egg was first, it would need incubation and another chicken (hen or rooster) to create more. So most definitely, the chicken.
