What do you do? I find myself keeping quiet and just grit my teeth. And then i'd try to better myself when i go home. What about you?

I generally don't let it bother me. I am an easy going guy. If they push to hard, that's another matter.

My temper is fairly even, but it when it boils over its not pretty. Not violent or anything like that though, I have never hit anyone out of anger.

It depends on what sort of mood I'm in as to whether I'll say something or not. Most of the time I just force myself to not say anything.

In my experience I have found that when someone feels the need to insult another person, for whatever reason, it's usually because they are unhappy with themselves in some way. I feel sorry for people who don't know how to make themselves feel good without feeling the need to put someone else down. This helps me to not take their comments personally. Usually I'll just stand quietly and hear them out. I smile and nod while they're talking and then I calmly say..... "Thank you for your comments but your opinion of me is none of my business". And then I walk away. They can take that whichever way they choose. It really doesn't bother me. But I have found that after doing that a couple of times they usually don't bother to voice their opinion to me any more. Someone else's opinion of me is not my reality. I figure it's their opinion, let them deal with it. As long as I know that I'm a good person and I try to do good and not harm to people what does it matter what anybody else thinks. I like who I am.

Hello, well if someone tries to insult me I just wave and smile at them. That seems to make them more angry. A month ago my b/f and I were on the freeway and this one driver tried to block us out from changing lanes and he honked the horn so my b/f just waved at them and we went on our way. I couldn't stop laughing and told my b/f I thought he made that driver more angry and you just waved at him. My b/f and I are teaching one of my nephews to blow off people by showing them you are not upset by what they either say or do and then who looks more like a fool !

i know what you mean. so half the time i mask my emotions and face. i just treat it as it doesn't and didn't happen. but it still hurts inside and pisses me off.

I point out his/her (the person who has insulted me) imperfections as well. I'm not one to take insults sitting down.
