Let's Support One another people...

I have noticed that in this group people do not respond to other people's discussions as much as the other groups. As Christians we are told to love one another and support one another and yet when I look in this group, I'm very sad that people here do not take the time to respond to somebody's discussion. If they do respond it's only 2-5 people who respond. We all know that in order for anyone here to make money it is vital that they respond to other people's discussions so that people can respond to yours. Let's demonstrate what Paul was talking about in Corinthians that as a body of Christ we are all one and therefore we must all minister and help one another. The reason why Christians today are not progressing as they are meant to be is because we neglect one another. Let us all show the true nature of Christ and let us unite and help one another. Remember, your needs will be met much faster when you take the time to help somebody else. So do take the time to respond to people in this group. Let us outshine the other groups and show the other groups how different and exciting we are because we live by the Grace of God and therefore we are all eligible to be prosperous and successful in all our ways!!

I was with you there on the idea of christians supporting one another until you mentioned making money. So are you suggesting I should be helping other christians make money? or responding to christians because I care about them and their spiritual needs? Sure, I joined mylot because someone told me I could make some money here, but I didn't even know about all the interest groups at that time. So I try to make money on the internet because I'm a person with a little time to spend online. But I can't buy into using my christianity to make money, its not a tool to use for gain, its just who I am. You may be taking 1 Corinthians 12 out of context.

from what you have said it seems to me that you are one of them christians who doesn't associate money with Christianity. If you read the bible you will find that they are over 2,000 verses that talk about money and how we must deal with issues concerning money. Believe it or not but 95% of people who join my lot join it because of the idea of making money. Do you really think that anyone today can survive without the use of money? Even Jesus himself during his ministry used money. read Luke 6:38 "give and it shall come back to you, good measure, pressed down shaken together and running over?" You say "should I help other christians make money?" the answer is YES! When you sow into somebody's dream then God sees that you have taken the time to give yourself to another person and therefore he blesses you because you have done an act of love. I highly suggest that you read your bible and let God show you the benefit of helping other people. I have just made my first dollar here after only being here for a month and there are alot of people who are struggling to make that first dollar. How did I do that? I took the time and invested in someone else. I respond to as many discussions as I can and God rewards me by sending other people to respond to my discussion. That's how it works. So don't have that mentality of "i can't use my christianity to make money!" Christianity means Christ Like which means you share, you love and you serve other people and not concentrate on your needs only.

I do not think these two have to be mutually exclusive. Christians need to make money just like anyone else and it is not taking away from spirituality to talk about money. People are always praying for God to bless their finances. The support we gve on here can be well rounded to include the money as well.

Note: I responed to your question didn't I? I've heard of people who go to church for the contacts. It helps them in business. They are there to worship, they are there to see and be seen. Using christianity for personal gain. Sure we all need to make money, but we do it with hard work, not by trying to put a guilt trip on our fellow christians. Start quality discussions and I and others will respond. Say respond because I'm a christian and I'll say your not trying hard enough.
