mylot- no edit?

not sure but i think mylot didn't really add an edit button due to the pay per post option here in mylot, since mylot bases the earnings you have by the length and content of your post there will be inconsistencies when you add new things to your post, just something that i thought :)

Bingo! It would be an incredible amount of work if myLot had to constantly readjust earnings due to edits in posts. How would they go about doing it? If previous comments that were edited out were responsible for stoking discussion, are earnings reduced because fewer keystrokes have been registered? What if the edits foment more discussion? Are you rewarded again for the post or just the amount that you lost when the previous comments were erased? The edit feature is an indispensable tool on most forums but, unfortunately, myLot has a unique problem that can't easily be solved. Just carefully think through your comments before you post and make additional comments or corrections when you reply to others. Unless myLot came up with a way for the discussion starter to add replies to their OP, I think how things are right now is most reasonable.

i see your point.
if they do implement a feature such as this, there would be some disputes over earnings.
nonetheless, i think it would be beneficial. im sure they can work something out. they can make earnings based on the post they see at like 00:00 GMT or something. anything edited after that time will not change earnings

i too wish that there should be an edit option here...if not edit then at least a delete option.
Some people may misuse the edit option so its better to have a delete option. Social networking sites like Orkut too have delete options but there is no edit option cos people misuse it...
Delete option is very much needed here in mylot too...

Hi KupoSin,this is a good discussion to start here in mylot.Well,my case is same with yours.I found a lot of times that I have posted my response or discussion with some small spelling mistakes or grammatical mistakes,if there was a edit button,I could have easily corrected it.

yea,i've wished for that for a long time.particularily to fix spelling flubs
because once in a while i do some beauties by accident

Yes I think most of us wish that mylot had an edit feature like pretty much everyother forum does. Wich I dont know why mylot dosnt since there are times where everyone here wish they could edit there post once in awhile I know I do wish I could edit my post since I dont notice the mistake till after I make a post a lot of times.

That would be great if there was a spell check and edit button. I always make spelling mistakes and its embarassing to read my posts when spelling mistakes are all over the place..

I strongly agree to your suggestion. I do have sent out some post without realizing the spellinh error. You wont beleive one of my post I sent out instead of saying addicted I wrongly said allergic and I needed one of the respondent to make me realize it. Its a good suggestion.

I agree with you completely. Sometimes I want to add something or made a mistake. I would be great to do an edit button. I think I would help a lot.
