if there are lots of opportunities here in the philippines would still go abroad and work, or you rather stay here. If like earning more that 50thousand pesos would you still go abroad. As for me, if i will earn more than 50thousand pesos, i will stay here in the philippines, reasons, i have my family here, this is my coutry even if there are lots of bad news about our country, i know where and how to live here. And if i want to go abroad its because i want to travel and for vacation mainly. So what about you?

I would still go abroad. I would like to live a different live style other than our country. I would like my children to have a better life in other country like Canada. Philippine peso value will continue declining and I believe there would be nothing we could do.

If I will be given a chance to work abroad then I will surely grab that opportunity not only to earn and save money for the future but to explore different things out there.

Regardless of what I earn, no matter what kind of lifestyle I have, my will to explore and see the world drives me to go out of the country and discover not just other places but myself as well. Enjoy life. Happy mylottin.

It depends if there is a great opportunity in which the job is interesting and it will enhance my career. If that is not the case then I will just stay here. What is important for me is I have my family here.

Hello, good day to you! Working abroad is one of the great chance for a people with a family or single to earn more money. Here in our country in the Philippines because of the low economy and the decreasing of our currency, many people are planning to go in other country just to find job. In my own opinion i think there are 50 percent of people here in the Philippines really want to work abroad and they are all ready to sacrifice for not being with their family together with their relatives, and i believe that there is a plan in their life that they will take all their family im abroad after earning a good amount of money. In my own, I really believe that working abroad is one good advantage to earn money. Well, I also have a plan to work abroad because of it's great opportunity to earm good amount of revenue, even though i will be far and away from my family. I will sacrifice my feeling to earn money in order for our life to be more good. My plan in working abroad is to earn money. Then after earning money I will go back here in my native country then i will start business and i will stay in my country forever together with my family, because honestly speaking i will never leave the land of my own country. Even though i already have the chance to go stay abroad together with my family, i will never accept that because i really want to help my country as long as i can do it. Well, that's all the end of my response in your discussion entitled "want to work abroad?". I hope i give a good response in your discussion. Thank you! Happy posting and happy earning to everyone of us here in mylot.

If I'm already earning P50t a month here in the Philippines? then I would save a lot and WORK ABROAD!.. he he he, If I'm lucky I could earn twice that much or even more. Then GO HOME back here in the Philippines, and start me a business.. It would be like you WORK ABROAD but RETIRE HERE in the Philippines. There's no place like home and they don't have "balot","fishball", and other yummy street foods there. :) cheers!...

Hey there charlene. I'm being biased here coz I work abroad, but the main reason why I chose to work abroad is because of a lack of opportunity in my chosen field. There are like 2 or 3 companies (including my former employer)that actually do what I do for a living, and they are really struggling because there's not much talent to look around. Had I chosen a different field which is more abundant in opportunities back home, I would still work abroad, but only to learn and gather more experience then eventually go back and contribute to the local industry. I hope someday I can set up my own company based in the Philippines, to be honest though, I don't think I can do it in 10 years time, unless a major miracle happens.

If i can earn big amount of money like 50K to where i stay, then i should remain. But if i think nothing is happening in my life, i better do something like work abroad and earn money to save for the future. It is really difficult to work abroad, you have to sacrifice a lot of things. Your lovelife, your family and you will encounter home sick and being so far away from home. At first you need to adjust till you get used of your daily routine. It is important that communication is there in the family. I guess when you see your loved ones having the things the want, buy the necessary items, it pays at least. But it will still depend on you, if you really desire to go far away just to earn money, or have another alternative to earn money, so that you don't need to go away from your country.

I would like to work abroad after finishing my college. In fact, that is my ambition. I would like to work in U.K. I love that place. It would be great if the same thing occurs in my life. Who knows what is going to happen in the future? hehhe

As a registered nurse in 3 countries, I think it's not just the job opportunities in the Philippines that will make me stay...aside from that, we should have a stable government also...that can provide our needs. The benefits that I can have abroad is more than just big salaries, it involves healthcare plans. Also, the Philippines should do something about it's peace and order. I am from Mindanao, and with the current status, I would love to go abroad, even if I am offered a bigger salary here. I can't risk our safety.

yes i would stay if i can find a job that will pay me good. it is really hard to find a job now in our country, especially for nurses like me. no hospital will ever pay as much as 50 thousand for a nurse. im wondering why in our country this is happening. while in other country, nurses are on the top list of high paid employees. actually im here in saudi right now. im earning well. although at times homesickness bothers me most of the time. still im surviving..

Earning more than 50K depends on the size of the family, that amount is barely enough for food , abode and education of children. You sent your children to public school is Ok but if you sent them for private one then it is still not enough.

With a P50,000.00 monthly salary, I think most of us would prefer to stay here in the country. That's good enough for a small family with some allocation for vacation and private schooling for the children.

If only ou can earn that here but sad to say you can't earn it if you are not a manager or have a higher position. Some still prefer to go abroad to support the financial needs of their family. If only I can go abroad because I want to save for the future and help my family. The only hope to have comfortable life is to go abroad.

I love Philippines! I guess everyone else, would love the mother country where they get used to with it's culture and people. But I don't think that earning a 50k+ in Philippines would be something temporary unless you have your own big time business, I don't know much though, but if that happens then I'd have reasons to spend more time here. Perhaps if it's a way better opportunity abroad, I would consider it. Right now, all I know is that I'm not forgetting my citizenship forever and Philippines is still one of the best places I wanna spend my old age with.

If I will earn more than 50 thousand pesos I will surely stay here rather than go abroad. If I will go to other countries it will be purely for business and pleasure.Nobody wants to go abroad to work,it's not healthy than you are very far away from your family. But because there are no good jobs to be found here in our country we are forced to go abroad and suffer from homesickness and loneliness. All of this because of money.
