What is more popular in your State , beach resort or mountain resort ?

Where I am living, many people go up to the Rocky Mountain resorts, very beautiful and pleasant. There are many places there one can spend the weekends or long holidays. I often spend my long weekends there. Many holiday-makers come there.
What is more popular in your Country or your State for spending holidays, beach resort or mountain resort ?

I am closer to the ocean than the mountains in my state. I assume the beach is more popular because there are commericals about visiting the mountains.

where i live we have the Smoky Mts. with dollywood,
Gatinburg,cades cove & just about anything else you
may want to do n the summer or winter time! Ther
is so much to see & do here!

Sounds like an ideal place for holidays all year round. I have seen pictures of the Smoky Mountains. Very scenic indeed !

Hi Kathy, thats my sisters name but she spells hers with a "C".
yes they have little churches there just for weddings (wedding chaples)
yes things have changed,everything has grown very big. I go to Cherokee
also, I'm part cherokee & I love all the history, you should try to
go when they have the big "Pow Wow"in july its so exciting with all the
indians in the native dress!!

I have been to Gatlinburg and it's a beautiful place! I guess I've been at least three or four times in my life. I'm from Alabama, by the way, and it's not that far. A lot of people go there to get married, don't they? Or spend their honeymoon there? The reason why I know this is because I read the engagements in the newspaper where couples are planning to be married in Gatlinburg or spend their honeymoon there. The last time I was there was in 1986 and my sister was with me. Dollywood had just opened up and we went there and enjoyed that. I hear it has changed quite a bit since then. We also went to Cherokee, North Carolina while we were up there. In fact, everytime any of my family and I went to Gatlinburg we always went to Cherokee as well. I've always liked anything to do with Indians.
I don't think I've ever been to Cades Cove but I've heard a lot about it. I'd like to go there if I ever get a chance to go again. Kathy.

here, beach resorts is more popular. but believe it or not i have not gone to at least one them. i moved in to this city 9mos ago. ive heard a lot of good impressions about the resorts here but i just have no time and nobody to go there with.

In my state it would have to be mountain because we don't have any beaches. We do have many lakes that people can enjoy.

Mountain resorts are very scenic and very pleasant in their unique ways too. I like to go on holidays to mountain resorts.

I live in alabama and it seems like everybody likes to go to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach, Alabama, which is on the gulf coast. Kathy.

I like to spend my holidays in beach resort, because in our country there only two ways you can enjoy summer in beach or swimming pool, there are two beach that i visit in Quezon and in Cavite. Then our relatives planning to have swimming this coming morning at Citadella near our house, because only few mountain resort in our country.

Well, for me personally, having been numerous times to different beaches and mountainous areas, I prefer the mountains. But generally in the United States, it is all about the beach. One of the biggest hot spots for spring break in America is Florida, where the beach gets absolutely packed. I guess a lot of people crave what they think is paradise - sun, sand, and surf.

A beach resort is more popular here because I live near the beach. There are many tourists here all year round not just in the summer. Lots of good seafood and fast food restraunts. There ar no mountains here but I know mountains are very pretty.

I think that beach resorts are far more popular here in my country though, there may be some mountain resorts that i am not aware of. We have so many beach resorts here because my country is made up of so many islands and we are sorrounded by big bodies of water.

I enjoy holidays on the beaches too. I agree, looking at the blue sea and feeling the sea breeze is very pleasant and relaxing.

I like both of the resorts-mountain resort and beach resort.Rocky mountain resort has a challenging and adventurous mood but on the other hand beach resort is not such, it is smoothly life leading.

I live near the Rocky Mountains too, so most of the people around here take mountain holidays. Unfortunately, a lot of the nice mountain destinations have become tourist traps exclusively for rich people. Not really my kind of thing.
I spent most of my life living near the Great Lakes, so I prefer beaches to mountains. But so far as I know, there is not one single beach in the state where I live now. C'est la vie.
