Can you make some money from donations?

I see each day more and more websites with donations areas, and some of them really earn so much... Do you think that now they will earn some money from donations too? I mention that i`m not talking about charity donations. Just donations to your account, because they loved what you ahve provided FOR FREE on your website.
I think that i`ll make that too, but i don`t know if i`ll have some success, because as we are on crisis, people will keep their money for the next day, and so on.
Would you do that to earn some money on the internet?

I am really glad you started this discussion because I would like to know the answer to this question myself. I give away motivational graphics for free on my website (see my profile) and I have often wondered if it would be a good idea to put a paypal 'donate' button on my pages. I shall be watching this discussion with interest to see what tips other mylotters give you on this. Thanks for starting this useful discussion and happy mylotting :)

i`m in the same situation as you are. I really don`t know what other will say if i`ll add such a button on my website. Maybe some will donate with pleasure, maybe some will be mad,because they saw that on the website, and so on. In any business, first, you should test the market. And that`s why i begun this discussion. Hope that a lot of people will answer this one. It will really help me a lot, and you too, as i saw. Thanks for answering.
