Will it happen if we love others but they don't love you back?

I would like to know.... if you love others and do the best you could do in order to please them but then, they don't love you back or they ignore you for your efforts. Do you think it will happen?

You can not love someone into loving you and you can not do kind acts etc to make someone love you. Love is a magical thing and actions alone will not result in someone loving you. If it were that simple there would be less divorce in the world and more people who are happily in love. Love takes work, from both parties and both have to want to be in love and in a relationship or all is for nothing.

In other words, every good will should be based on two parties. It can't be done with only a good will from one side, right?

not necessarily. You can do a good deed for someone and not receive it back, it is still a good deed. But in a relationship both people need to share the love, it can not be a one way street. one person can not be doing all the work love in a relationship and good deeds etc are two different things.

Okay, love relationship should be a two way street. Good deed can be a one way street. But how about social relationship (example, friends relationship) and other relationship (example, business partnership)? I do think that those kind of relationship should be a two way street. What do you think?

Yeah, this is not a good way to get someone to love you. And, they may very well appreciate all that you do. But, they just don't show their gratitude in the way that you want them to.

I actually have a relationship where this happens all the time. I find myself always thinking of what I can do to make their life better and financially helping them and I can not even afford a coke. LOL! However then I get so mad at them for not appreciating what I am trying to do and it is really my fault because I keep doing it over and over and over again. I just hate it.
