Whenever my kids get a new movie, that is all we watch for a week or longer. My youngest son got "Bedtime Stories" on Thursday. We could not watch it Thursday night because he had a baseball game. Well on Friday, my boys watched in twice, back to back. They watched it Saturday morning. Then my husband took them fishing. Then we we got home they watched it again. Today it was watched before church, after church and then after dinner. That is seven times in one weekend. I just do not understand how they can watch the same movie over and over. I actually don't think I have fully seen the whole thing. I come into the room and realize it is on again, and leave that room.

Hi sassy. My daughter was like that too when she was around your kids' age. She didn't seem to get tired of watching the same thing over and over. I remember when I got a dvd of Sound of Music, she would request to watch it every night before we sleep, I think it went on for more than 2 weeks--I even named that movie our "national anthem". But you know, as your kids get older, you would somehow miss those little things they used to do..I do miss them a lot because my daughter is almost 14 now. Have fun with your kids and enjoy every minute of it. Take care.

My kids are like that, too. They get a new dvd or video, or record something on the dvr and watch it over and over, and over again. They watch the show back to back!! This will go on until one of them gets tired of it and they begin to argue about watching it or not. This goes on with many of the movies that they like, and even some tv series, cartoon shows. Sometimes I'll take a rest and just sit and watch a few moments of the show, then go do something. This can go on to where I'll know what's going on in the movie, what it's about, and I never sat and fully watched the movie all the way through. And I have come into the room saw what was on tv and walked back out, too. Even gone as far to tell'em to shut it off.
