I thought it might be interesting... here are some opinions. some i heard, some are obvious, some are purely my speculation. 1.never thought about it. 2.i never lie, because it's wrong from a moral standpoint. 3.i lie, doesnt go against my morals. helps escape consequences of my wrongdoings and helps me get what i want from others. 4.i dont lie, because i will lose trust otherwise. 5.i dont lie, because there's a big risk of my lie being revealed and i'll have to face the consequences. 6.i lie, because everyone around me lies. why should i be different? 7.i lie, because life is more interesting that way. lying is a game of sorts. 8. circumstancial. sometimes i lie, sometimes i dont (a very broad field for disscusion) So, do you lie? why? under what circumstances? if anyone has other sorts of info concerning lies, please do share.

What I can understand with your post is that one day you lie and another day you don't lie. So, it would be better if you would say, I do whatever I feel is good for me, or my life. Same is with me, it doesn't matter if I lie or not but I do what I feel is good for me and my life. So, sometimes I lie and sometimes I don't!

Yeah I lie from time to time. To get myself out of situations I don't want to be in, or to make myself sound better in a bad situation. I don't lie unless it seems absolutely nessecary in my eyes. I don't see it as morally wrong I guess...just pointless when people lie without a reason or about something completely silly.

When it comes to 2 people telling a story, I always say that there are 3 sides to the story. There is the first person. There is the second person. Then there is the real truth. Out of the people only one is telling closest to the truth. I have been caught in this triangle. Where one is telling the truth. One is lying. The problem I have encountered is the person listening to the stories believes in the lies and the lies have damaged my friendship. The bottom line, both people telling the story knows the real truth. The listener had made the decission that they will believe the lies. I know that if the listener finds out the real truth, they will be very hurt.
