It seems that a National Debate has gone from being very good and a right of everyone in this country to disagree to being something that is Unhealthy for the country. It seems that many on the left do not like the fact that people can decide from themselves to protest big government and unresponsive government. Just about a years ago then Senator Clinton was telling us that debate and disagreement was good for this country and should not be infringed with. Now that it is their ideas that people are disagreeing with it is Unhealthy for the Country.

But I thought dissent was patriotic? Is that not what the Democrats said when Bush was President. So now that Democrat are in control we must all fall in line and obey. Well excuse me but I am going to be patriotic and dissent.

It is unhealthy. Overall if people don't give tax, then how can government earn there earning. Tax is the way of earning for Government. Government is needed to control the system, if we don't have government then automatically system will fail.

It is very simple the side being protested against will say its unhealthy. The side doing the protesting will say it is healthy. Who wants to be protested against. THey have to say anything they can to discourage people from wanting to speak out against their actions.....of course they are not going to change the actions everyone is upset over. But they will try to shame people into shutting up.

Yeah, it's all different when the left protests though isn't it? For some reason they seem to think that only they are allowed to protest and we are supposed to sit here and take whatever's dished out. Just another useless Liberal making a fool of himself.

Well the current dissatisfaction also reflects pessimism about our countries economic future and the measurements taken to improve the economy. It's well known that only an optimistic outlook will drive up the stock market and eventually the economy overall. But if we remain pessimistic and keep up the talk then of course we also hold on to our purse strings. For Obama's plan to work enough for the next election to look like he did something, the economy needs to improve now. Therefore, it's best everybody agrees with him and is cautiously optimistic to very optimistic. I can see how they want to suppress any national debate about how plans might not work out, it's not healthy for them. Obama stated it himself, if he doesn't get the economy fixed, he will not be re-elected. He at least has to create the appearance that things improved, lol. All those protesters and naysayers therefore are very damaging. He would love a country of yes-men/women;)

Maybe we should all demand that the governmnet follow the Constitution including the Tenth Amendment. That is what the TEA parties were really about.

I sy protesting taxes should be done and should be done regularly. Good for those who took part and if I had known there was a group in my area I would have been there. There is nothing unhealthy about keeping people in check.

Liberals honestly believe that the things they say not only make sense, but are 100% true. They're so utterly positive that they're locked on to the truth - so much a part of the pulse; the blood in the veins that makes America's heart beat - that they're willing to claim that it's okay to hate, smear, bash, criticize, ridicule, and ultimately silence any opposition. They believe in free speech and liberty; they're just all too willing to make an exception for ANYONE who doesn't subscribe to at least 99.9% of their ideology. Notice that if you voice dissent, you're not even labeled correctly. You're automatically a right-wing extremist, neo-con, racist, white conservative, etc. This smear coming from people scared out of their wits to name English as America's official language because it might offend someone. They've been pointing the finger at the other party since they abandoned their racist ways as a party. Now they've set out to be the protectors of all injustice in the world, and every idea that they can't spin into fool's gold and use to brainwash their minions, they immediately pass it off as a "conservative," or "traditional" value. And they don't even realize they're doing it! It's simply how they've been brought up to act. It was the exact same thing a few decades ago when they were all being brought up to be racists. :-) Irony personified.
