If you have enough money in you hands that you don't have a need for would you travel or shop? I will travel the world, I will never hesitate to check for the best and the untouched wonders of the world. You, what would you choose?

I would choose to travel since that is my favorite hobby. I would hold my travel wish list in my hands and then choose about six different trips: 1. South America including Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru. 2. Central America and some of South America including Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and the Galapagos Islands. 3. The Trans Siberian Railway including Russia, Mongolia and China. 4. The Indian Ocean including Madagascar and Mauritius. 5. The Philippines and Thailand for island hopping and snorkeling. 6. Japan by train. After all those wonderful trips I would probably plan a few more. Happy traveling.

Of course, One should check necessary stuff to take care of first before spending on any travel splurge, amen to that.

I would definitely travel! That's always been my dream, to travel to different places and to meet people of different cultures. I know that I would learn a lot from these people and their traditions. I want to try foods also of different countries, I want the authentic ones! Oh, and by traveling, I could also shop. I think that's good enough.

I would definately choose to spend the money on a trip. I have very few expensive things in my home, because I always choose to spend the money on travelling instead of buying something. I don't own a tv, a dvd player, a playstation or anything like that, my laptop is the only expensive thing that I have, the rest of my money I have spent on travelling and I never regret that. I would rather buy experiences than things, because things don't give me much pleasure compared to a trip to another part of the world.

I would have to travel to shop, because some things are just quite difficult to find the best or authentic where you live (if they're even available where you live) or on the internet ;) Buying, say, a handpainted object from Africa is much different if you are simply ordering it from some place or even buying it from a store as opposed to travelling to Africa where you can see the culture and experience and participate in it and bring an artifact back home with you to remember the journey. :)

I agree, Traveling does a lot to a person, it boost your confidence in dealing with other people's culture, make you aware of how things happen in the other side of the world, make friends, learn, share knowledge and most off all it opens the fact that you are not the one in this world searching for something, or looking for things you haven't seen in you entire life unless you travel.
