There are many freelance writing sites on the internet. Currently I am only familiar with Bukisa, Associated Content, Triond and Helium. If you are non US you may prefer Helium as they offer upfront payments for articles to international members, whereas Associated Content only offers to US. You can still earn from page views on both sites. However if you are only wishing to write stories and fiction then perhaps AC may be better for you as I have heard Helium does not pay well for creative writing articles.

I am a member of three writing sites. I use Associated Content you can get the link to this site on my profile here in mylot. Also you can sign up for Bukisa and Helium that i am members of to write if you like to write. There is also freelancewrites that offers you to write on certain articles. I have heard of some other sites as well, but have not signed up for them as i have not had the time to review them. You can review those sties if you would like they are Epinions, Suite101 and reviewstream.

I'm not a US citizen - yet I earn my entire income from selling my writing. I earn more income now than I used to earn when I worked full-time at a bank. There's a lot of money to be made in freelancing if you do it the right way.
I refuse to deal with low-paying sites like Helium, Triond or Bukisa. These just don't pay well enough to cover the time and effort you put in.
I use Constant Content and Daily Article to sell my work. YOu set your own prices on these, so I tend to charge between $25-$50 per article. I also work with a couple of really busy content mills (Demand Studios and Need An Article) that pay a little lower but the work is constant.
I also source quite a lot of new writing markets from several different freelance job listing sites (I've mentioned them on my website).
When I have the time, I also write fiction and sell this to ezines or magazines too. I find the markets for these from several fiction market listing sites (also listed on my blog).

The best site I have found - - no doubt - - is Bukisa.
Here you are paid for the indidual unique visitors to your work. The more visitors, the fatter your wallet gets.
Please accept my friendship offer and I can send you my referral... I think you will really enjoy this unique site.
Thanks for your time...
