What theme did you have for your baby shower? I had animals for my second baby shower. It was kind of cute. Ducks was the main animal. If you don't know what gender the baby is what theme should you use for a baby shower? How many people do you invite? Is it a surprise to the mom?

Well, since I was really not involved in panning the baby shower we had, it was basically a normal baby shower. And that was now a long time ago. See, my evil ex looks down on me and my family, but no one in her family got involved with her baby shower. My mother had one for her. No one else. Not even her mother or father cared to bother or come for the shower.

OMG That is crazy! At least my family had one even though they didn't approve of my ex.

@inertia4 I think that's all relationships. Someone is always giving more than the other.

@mommaj Well that should have been a sign for me also. But I never got involved getting between my wife at the time and her family. I never stopped her form seeing them or anything. Any choice she made on that front was her own. Not mine. I gave more than I ever got back.

My friend just had an online baby shower with friends from all over the world. It lasted several days. She would post a contest - like guess her belly size or guess what the baby will look like. Then later she'd post the answers. It was a great way to get to know some of her friends who like in other parts of the country/world. We also make short clips of our favorite childhood songs/stories - she collected the posts & put them in a 'collage video'

That's really a neat idea and different from a traditional baby shower. I guess the computer age can let us be together where ever we are.

Lots of people don't have a baby shower for the second baby especially when it is the same gender as the first. That actually makes since to me.
