HELP!!! I need a 20 pound weight loss!!!

I went to the doctor for severe back pain and the only thing I clearly understood was that I had to lose 20 pounds. The doctor wanted me to do to a nutricionist but in my country that is very expensive. So I´ll do it on my own but I need help. Do you have good ideas on how to lose weight? I doen´t have to be done in a week: the idea is to go pound by pound but keep it off. PLEASE HELP!!!

i think we all know how to lose weight if we would do it. u don't eat. lol. somone told me one time when i was dieting if it taste good spit it out. lol

When I need to lose weight, I drink extra water especially when I get the munchies. I also eat the same foods, but use a smaller plate. I try to chew slower so that even the smaller portion takes the same amount of time, or even a little longer.

I have not looked into it a ton but when I was trying to re focus my familys diet to a healthier one I searched online. There was millions of sites to look at. I think just following a healthy and balanced diet is the key. My biggest health change was more fiber and more water. It was hard at first to change the habits but I lost 10 pounds with out eating any less just eating better. I changed to high fiber bread and high fiber granola bars. I feel like I am craving less too.

I already lost 6 pounds by just eating smaller portions and eating a lot less mayo. I also changed my bread to one with more fiber. Thanks.

Hi Marguicha, first of all sorry to hear about your back pain. Hope you will be alright soon. And the extra weight causes lot of problems in our body. As it gives more stress on the legs, back. SO these are the main parts effeced by extra weight. Don't try to reduce 20 pounds in very short period. As it may give you more trouble, and may lead to more health problems. Better you keep a target for 5-6 months.And that too following good excercise and nutritious diet. I will give you a few steps which is helping me to reduce my post preg weight. Here you go. 1: Take one glass of luke warm water with 1 spoon of honey and 1 spoon of lemon juice with empty stomach. This plays an effective role in loosing ur weight. 2:Take atleast 8 glasses of water. Try to take most of the water in the morning time. 3:Take a lot fresh veggies in the form of salads or steamed veggies. Never over cook the veggies. 4:Try to eat a bowl of sprout , any sprout you would like to eat. 5: If you are backpain is not allowing you to excercise, try to follow yoga.It helps alot to reduce weight without much stress. But be careful that you do it in the right way. If you have any ongoing yoga classes try joining into them. Or if you don't find one you can easily find a good Yoga CD's which can be helpful to you. 6: Finally avoid fatty foods..like chess,full fat milk,oil,fried items,choclates and all the junk food. 7: Add negative calorie foods to your diet. And include frsh fruits in your daily diet. WIsh you all the best in loosing your weight. Do put your results too after loosing your weight.

Thanks for your ideas. I changed whole milk , I´m eating less fried foods and I can proudly say that I´m 6 pounds thinner. I don´t want to shed the 20 pounds all at once. " pounds a months seems to me it´s a good goal. I do eat veggies and fruit. In my country we are not used to having desserts except fruits except at parties and when you go out. Fruit is part of our normal diet.

WALK WALK WALK!!!! walk every single day, keep moving, keep active. Cut down on red meats, drink lots of water, eat healthy foods like fruits and veggies. Don't eat fattening desserts or sweets. Walking will help a LOT though, so try that! And you SHOULD get a nutritionist to help you!

I´ll do the walking. I never eat desserts. I went up 20 pounds when I quit smoking because I ate pounds and pounds of candy due to anxiety. But I quit smoking because I wanted the money to travel (smoking never harmed me) so I won´t give it to a nutricionist. Besides, I grew up in a house of scientists and know a lot about nutrition. THe problem is not that I don´t know I should not eat mayo, the problem is that I love it. Thanks
