You should listen to your doctor as they give good advice about your health. Your body needs a break from exercise so you should not work out too much. I definitely think your doctor is right and limit the amount of exercising. How much did he or she say was okay? I will work out for about an hour a day, four days a week. You don't want to put too much strain on your muscles. Walking every day is something you can do but if you are lifting weights you need to be careful.

yaa...listening to the doctor is not an option anymore... i was working out for abt 2 hours and played tennis for abt another 1-2 hours...but that was until last month...now i am told to work out only for 45-60 mins a day...really feels bad that u cannot work out anymore...:(

That is good that you exercise and take care of yourself. We just have to be careful how much time we spend working out.

Were you getting hurt? There can be overuse injuries from working out too much.
