Fundraising tips, anyone?

Our newly organized group have received several requests already for medical missions. Though we would like to accommodate all of it, we cannot due to some budgetary constraints. Thus, we are working on raising as much funds as we can. Do you have any tips on how to do it? Any innovative ways in which we can source out money for our projects? Any suggestion will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, I too am associated in such Organissation and know the strain of finance when schedule a programme. We had twice adopted lucky draw coupon sell and it really helped us raising fund. What we actually did was to limit the number of the coupon and make it a little nit high priced and approach the economically more affluent people and they would not reject so easily. Besides if your group is well known there for such activities you could go to the main market avenue where there is more rush and jingle small tins. People would surely drop money there. Do not forget to take along the play card which would read the mission you are going to accomplish.

Is it possible for you to do a carboot sale or something similar where some people make cakes and sell them, anything that you no longer need or want..eg ornaments to sell..this could help you make some money. really this is all I can think of at the moment, but do hope some other mylotters can help...littleowl

Here are some random ideas off the top of my head: You could start an online Paypal donation page, and email everyone you know with the link. You could have a garage sale and donate the earnings to whatever your cause is. You could have a bake sale. You could go door to door and ask to rake yards or shovel sidewalks (depending on the weather there). You can even do something small like set up a coin jar in your house (good if you live with a lot of people), and ask people to drop their spare change in it when they can. This seriously adds up! Hope these suggestions help! Good luck with your fundraising!
