What animal would you choose to be in your next life.

Okay, it's time for a discussion that's not so serious. IF you could choose what animal to be in your next life, what would it be and why? You don't actually need to believe in reincarnation to answer this question. It's just for fun. I'd be a domestic dog or cat. I have to admit, I kinda would LOVE to just lie around most of the day and just be excited when my master got home, then after about ten minutes go back to lounging around. What about you? What's your animal?

I think I would be a box jellyfish. They are one of the most amazingly beautiful creature on the planet, but also the most deadly. They are pale blue and cube-like in shape. Up to 15 tentacles grow from each corner and can reach 10 feet in length. Each tentacle has about 5,000 stinging cells and when stung it is excruciatingly painful and the toxins affect the heart, nervous system, and skin cells. They are truly amazing creatures.

When my children were in perschool we went on a field trip to a 3-D show that was all about the underwater world. They followed jellyfish for a while. The entire underwater world is amazing to me. Have you ever been snorkeling? I did some snorkeling once, when the jellyfish count was pretty high. That wasn't so fun! lol But it wasn't as bad as you would imagine. I'm not sure what type of jellyfish they were, they all seemed pretty small. I live in South Florida, so I've seen some pretty big ones too. Not so much in recent years. I'm not sure if that is because I just don't go to the beach as much, or because their numbers are declining.

Box jellies live primarily in the coastal waters off Northern Australia and throughout the Indo-Pacific. I have actually never gone snorkling, yet I have lived in Florida for most of my life...lol. However, I have done Scuba diving, but I do believe there is somewhat of a difference in the two.

This is a serious discussion! Evolution means we evolve. Reincarnation means that we live and will never die (except that we do shed our physical body here on earth) Instead our Spirit moves on, and we reincarnate and are born again as a newborn, to begin anew life on earth with new parents. Because we evolve, everything gets better with each new life, and because we learn and become more intelligent, it would never happen that we choose to incarnate as an animal. Animals are too far removed from Humans for that to be a choice.

now with that being said, please explain to me how it is that you can believe that, yet there are studies that humans evolved from primates?

There are many studies, Yes, but the "missing link" has never been found. Reincarnation is a proven fact. Ask any Hypnotherapist. Also there are hundreds of documented cases of young children remembering their recent past lives. Upon being taken to the area, where they claimed to have lived, they knew their neighbors, recognized their friends and relatives, and called them by name. In some cases they spoke a different language- a language different than that of their parents in this life.

Probably an eagle. It would have to be something that A) was at the top of the food chain, B) not hunted or simply killed for being what it is, and C) offered protection by the government. Bald eagles, while now delisted in the U.S., are still protected by the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act. I think I would have a pretty good life as a bald eagle. And I would be able to fly!

Im going to have to find the loophole in your question and come back as a human. This is a valid answer given the fact that we as human beings are animals ourselves, even if we are more intelligent.

Yeah right. I never thought of that, we belong to the animal kingdom too. But still, I like to be reborn an eagle. The king of the air. I'm gonna soar high up and down. Fly mightily. isn't that majestic. :)

miamilady, I'd have to choose being a cat because it so fits my personality so well; eat a little bit, sleep a whole lot with lots of hugs and luvs on the side--aaahh, yes, that's the ticket!

I think tigers are pretty amazing creatures. When I was thinking of my own answer, I thought about the tigers, but the fact that they hunt and kill their food is was stopped me from choosing them. But I do admire their stregnth!

I would like to be reincarnate in the form of the fastest bird, which is the peregrine falcon. Because of being the fastest flying birds among other birds species. My reasons for choosing it, enables me to explore to see the wondrous beauty of nature in highest views, not usually reach by me when am still human. I feel free and can avoid dangers onland. I can visit any places that I wish and with my companion love, will fly till we get tired.

I think it is James Patterson that has a series of books that follows a flock of "Bird Kids" it has a sci-fi type of angle, but you might enjoy some of the scenes described in it.

I think horses are amazing creatures too. Somehow I see them similar to dolphins. If I were a horse though, it would have to be a while horse. I wouldn't want to be a "working" horse. Did you ever read Black Beauty? I remember the descriptions when they were trying to "break" her and the descriptions of putting in a bit and they might have described horseshoe's too (not sure on that). I'd definitely want to be free.

If I choose one animal as my next life I want to be a bird. I really admire birds because they can fly freely. I don’t want to fix in one place so if I’m a bird I wish I can fly over around the world. I will be a bird flying in a blue sky in a very clean world. Or if I can be a tiger it’s also acceptable. I will be the king of the forest. No one can insult me. It also have freedom in life.

You would have to hope to be a cow in India and not in the US! Cow's do seem to be pretty calm and peacful creatures. I like horses too. Thanks for your response.

I would like to be a human being again(humans also fall under the category of animals, they are the biggest animals in fact!!!). The reasons are obvious: to be at the top of the food chain, have the authority of doing all the bad things without being accountable to anyone. If it has to be an animal apart from humans, I would like to be a firefly. I read somewhere that the male firefly has no predator, I don't want to get eaten by anybody.

How about... whatever the next stage of evolution is?... maybe some kind of energy being... I don't know, with the way the world's heading, I certainly wouldn't want to move DOWN on the food chain. dr...

I would love to be a lion. Because its just an amazing animal. Its the king of the jungle and isn't too weak unlike other creatures. Because my whole life I've been picked on, I'd like to have power and pride. I believe those are the traits of the Lion. Not to mention in myths and mythology they've mentioned the lion and even cross breeds. An example would be the Griffin. Again its an example of Pride and Glory. In general Lions are just cool :) Lion King is awesome as well.
