Or if anyone knows how it works and is it really worth it. or do you think Ebay is better to go and sell things on? Just trying to make some cash I was wanting to take the things I have to a flea market and sell. Thamk you ahead of time for the comments or advice and help.

I have bought and sold things on both sites. There are advantages to both. I like the idea of being able to just purchase what I want from Amazon without having to wait for an auction to close. However, I have been able to get things more reasonable at ebay by waiting for those auctions to close. It just depends on what you're trying to purchase (or in your case sell). Books sell better on half.com which is an ebay company. Textbooks will sell faster on Amazon during peak buying times (beginning of fall, spring and summer semesters). Ebay is also better on big ticket items like musical instruments, exercise equipment and household items.

I have heard of Craigslist, but have not used it. I have used Ebay, Amazon and Half.com both for various things, both selling and buying. I purchase textbooks on these sites for school each semester, as well as selling my old ones. I've heard that Craigslist is great for big ticket items, but I've just never used them so I couldn't really tell you about them.

Thank you for your comment on amazon and ebay. I didn't know about half.com Have you had any luck selling items on either sites? Which one did you prefer to sell on? Have you ever heard of craigslist.com? I was thinking about that site also.

Hi emilie! I don't know a lot about Amazon except that I think it may just be a way to get linked to stores selling the things you want. Ebay is something I use pretty often...lol..I'm bidding on a camera as we speak. Ebay does charge a fee for using their sight and this can become very expensive because it is based on what you sell your item for. The best pointer I can give you is to set what they call a reserve...which is the very least you will take for your product. That way your not obligated to sell a $100 product if someone just bids $1 and noone else is interested at the time. That way if you don't get what you wanted for it you can relist it and try to sell it again. People will also ask you questions about your product so it is important to check on that a couple of times a day. Paypal is the best means of receiving payment. You can accept checks but I wouldn't really reccommend it. Be very descriptive in your products presentation..even the flaws if there are any. Pictures are important too. Good luck and take care.

Oh yes..I've sold a few things on there. I'm more of the buyer though. I sold a couple of clothing lots and some children's books. Hate you've been working so hard. Maybe next week will be better. Take care and your welcome.
