Do you know yourself,as you really are?Would you briefly tell what you know about yourself? Do you feel your knowledge about yourself is perfect? Do others view you in the same way as you perceive yourself? Does self introspection help in improving one's self image?

It is very necessary that we know ourselves better before we start to know anyone else or even this world. well i know myself better than anyone else on this earth, what i need, where i am going, why i am doing certain, what wrong and what rights i have done in my life till now, how happy i am and how guilty about certain things.my life is confusing and never solved mystery.which i am still struggling to give it a better pace.

I view myself as just a normal human being which always strive to improve and learn and get feedback from others. I used to think of very low of myself as I have very low confidence. However, after joining some toastmaster and more societies and mixing with more people, My confidence was boasted. However, I dislike people who think too highly of themselves and create a wall of defensiveness over criticisms and feedback. These people are indeed in dire need for self introspection. One thing I hate to do is to disguise or pretend the image or an identity of somebody you are not. So I try to be myself and be natural. However, to get a fuller perspective of yourself is best to get the opinions from your family and close friends for better improvement. What you know about yourself is only your own thinking and perception.

Thanks for nicely responding and sharing your view points. I absolutely agree with you that self-introspection is essential for self-improvement and for evolving upwards. It helps to know more about one's strengths and weaknesses. What we know about us, may sometimes be misleading and imperfect. The feedback we receive from others will certainly help to correct ourselves for betterment. Have a nice day!!

I don't think we ever see ourselves as others see us. I know what goes on inside but am often surprised when someone tells me something about how I come across to others. Sometimes I would rather not know but other times it's flattering.
