Do you feel down on rainy days?

Same here blue65packer... it has been raining & raining a lot here the past few days and we are expecting more on & off for the next week also. UGH! Just about everyday the weather.com site shows we are supposed to have at least a 30% chance or more of rain or thunderstorms. I do feel down at times in this type of weather. Like you, I hate it too! I especially hate to have to run errands, like grocery shopping, i this kind of rainy weather! The worst thing is haivng to bring in a butt load of groceries in the pouring rain! LoL

I enjoy a rainy day now and then. But, if it is rainy and gloomy for more than one day, I do start to feel down. It barely rains where we live and we are in a big drought. So, some rain would be nice. I enjoy thunder and lightening, but I hate that they can also bring danger. I hope that you dry out soon too!

Only when I am outside in the rain. I don't mind watching the rain when I am nice and warm and dry indoors but never when I am out in it. I do not like thunder either I was always frightened of it as a child and I guess I have never grown out of my fear, I fear the thunder more at night than at day. Here in the UK we get a lot of rain even in the Summer.

When I was young I got scared of thunderstorms, but now I enjoy the rain and such. To me it brings life and it is a need for plants and flowers to grow. It is spring time here in Ohio and with that comes a lot of rain and storms. Now Tornados I am scared of still. Like if there is a warning or a watch near where I live or in the county I live in I do get a little scared about that. I love the rain though, I like to play it and I plan on doing so with my girls the next time we get a spring shower. Take care and overcome your fears and happy mylotting to you as well.

well im guessing you dont live in Great Britain here the weather plain and simply sucks and we have no choice to get used to the rain. I hate rainy days if i wake up and its rainy i feel like just going back to bed and doing nothing, even if i get up i just have a lazy day cos i cant get motivated to do anything. Then if it does stop raining i will try to go out. But yeah rainy days are the worst and they just make you feel down straight away. Hope that they stop soon where you live

Sometimes i feel a same feeling with you. When i have many urgent things to do, it's raining out there. I don't know how to describe those feelings but it mixed of angry and dissapointment. And usually our mood getting down on those rainy day. When the rain was stop, some of those urgent things were expired. Just hope that i can buy my own car soon so i can still go around for my job even though on a rainy day. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

My place its become so hot, that we are just waiting for the rains to come. I like the rains, but not when it dirties my clothes, but going in the rain in fun for me.

It depends on whether I have to venture out or can afford to stay indoors AND it depends on the age too, as I now understand. In my college days whenever it used to rain heavily and I could not go out to meet friends, I used to feel so down and depressed. Now in middle age when it rains and I have to go to office, I feel down and depressed. Nowadays, if its raining on Sundays of holidays, I enjoy the downpour outside with some hot steaming food.

The past week or so we have had some beautiful weather, so dry and warm, it lulled me into a false sense of believing summer was on its way! But I felt so happy and invigorated. Of course today I got up and it was peeing down with rain and pretty cold, I had to take the kids to school and go into town so I got pretty wet, a few people commented that I looked fed up. Well yeah the rain does put a dampener on things so I have felt pretty down today!

Nope I don't feel down on rainy days but I feel lazy. I just want to laze in bed with a good book and then sleep. However work and time does not always permit to do this even though I work from home. In a way I kinda love rainy days when I am at home (sounds a bit selfish) because the weather will be cooling and love to hear the sound of rain and looking out from my window......

For me it is lazy sleepy weather where you just don't feel like doing any thing but lounging with a book or just going to sleep.

Once I was like you. When it's raining outside, I felt upset. Also, I hate the thunder and the rapid changing weather. But now I've changed. I won't be influenced just by the weather. Why should the bad weather is stronger than me? I guess I should be stronger than it. And now, if it rains, I could stay at home with books or with thoughts. Or sometimes, while the raining's not big, I could also go out and listen to the sound of the nature, of course with umbrella. It's just the bad side of the rain that bothers you, so why not have a thought on the good side of it. It cleans the road, brings water to soil, and makes everyting green and things like that. Ease yourself in such a weather and don't think too much. It's not the weather that affects you but your mind/attitude over it that makes you feel down. So change a little bit of your mind and you'll find all released when in another rainy day. Happy myLotting and good luck.

Yes i always feel sad in rainy days .It make me want to take a big breath ,but I can"t .When I get up in the morning ,I see it rained outside ,I may feel sad ,and will not have a good mood this day .I had tried many times to change it ,but I failed .

Well, on weekdays,rain does depress me because of all the trouble it brings.I always get soaked and feel cold. But on weekands, when I don't need to go outside and can stay at home, rain is not so awful. As a matter of fact, I kind of like rain at those times .Because listening the outside rain while staying inside my cozy home makes me feel safe and warm

I feel down. Actually I have seen that personally I do not like cloudy weather. May be thats why i feel down on rainy days,

I like rain,wind,cloud,sun .So I am happy everyday......LOL

Well,quite agree totally.I do not like the rainday also,and that make me gloomy.But i like the sunny days just after the rain,the air smell fresh than ever and the sky blue than ever.Aha,l little conflict.

nope, in fact, i love rainy days! it's the time that i can sit back and relax while enjoying a good book with my favorite comfort foods. it's also a time i can play with my nephew in our koi pond. it also reminds me of the times my dad used to stay at home and watch movies with me. i love rain...doesn't it remiond you of warm, hot soups and your family? :)

well i think that sometimes i do and sometimes i don't because when it's raining, it's cold and it's the perfect time to take a nap..but sometimes i also feel blue when it rains because i can't go out and you know..it just feels sad..especially when you have nothing to do inside your house..ü

i am very sensitive to weather, for the reason i do not know. My best friend always told me that my mood depends on the weather. When it is very hot, i get so high tempered, then when it reaches noon i get headaches due to so much temperature. When it rains, i get so cold, and don't talk a lot, i lost my energy and tend to stay in my seat. but when it is windy, i tend to be like a super active pal. it was really something about myself, that i do not know the reason.
