He lost his fight yesterday and I think that's it for his career. He fought a monster on the higher division and he's no way on his opponent's league. If he decided to fight again, he should stay at bantamweight defending his title. I still believe Gerry is one of the best Filipino fighters ever.. He fought a galant stand and he was never knocked down..

Yeah, it was pretty sad actually but i guess we cannot do something about it anymore. It was a great fight though. I really though he will get knocked out by Lopez but i was wrong. He really has a solid chin and up to his last fight, he never kissed the canvass. He is very technical indeed but i guess youth prevailed this time. It's time for him to retire and for the Filipinos, he will be remembered as the most technical boxer.

Hi paoxav! Juan Manuel Lopez is just too powerful and strong for Gerry Penalosa. He had dominated the fight right from the 1st round up to the time Coach Roach stop the fight. Though I still commend Gerry for his brave heart to withstand all the strong punches that Lopez had thrown to him. I also believe that Gerry should quit and retire from the sport. He had already proven his worth and already established a reputation inside the ring. The only consolation that Gerry had in this fight was Lopez did not able to knocked him out in whatever punches he had thrown him (Lopez was known to be a knock-out artist, his last 3 fights ended in one round stoppage of his opponent).

Its time to retire, and give it to younger boxers. He is really galant with the heart to fight, but better retire if you see yourself like a punch already. Thanks
