I am SO sick of having contacts in my eyes and want to get lasik eye surgery. I actually have astigmatism. Does anyone know anything about lasik eye surgery? I know its come a long way since it started, but does it last forever?? is it worth the money?? any information is helpfuL! Thanks bunches :O)

Hello nrn. I am sorry that I don't have knowledge about this, but I have been wearing glasses for more than twenty years since I were at senior high school. I have been nearsighted since then and I cannot see blackboard clearly without my glasses. Out of this reason, my father took me to an eye doctor to find I was nearsighted. How I wish I did not have to wear glasses! Take care, nrn.

I am sorry that you have had to wear glasses for so long. I have been in contact for 10 years and had eye problems probably for the last 13 years. So I started wearing glasses in junior high. I only could handle wearing glasses for three years and had to get contacts and im glad that I did. My dad has worn glasses for a very long time and he wont get contacts or anythign else. I guess its just him being used to glasses. Enjoy your day, and thanks for the response.

it depends on the person and i think the doctor. my son and his gf both got that surgery 3 yrs ago. now she is back to wearing glasses a lot and had a terrible time with healing. my son has never had a problem. it worked fine. but i was afraid for him because id heard of people going blind completely because of it.

wow that is a little scary. I am worried about having to go back to wearing glasses or contacts again. Which would be a complete waste of money. I guessi need to discuss it with my eye doctor. Thanks for your response.
