People Magazine 100 most beautiful people list

Well, the new list is out and on the cover of People Magazine. Have you seen the magazine yet? I just seen the cover and it has Christina Applegate on it. Do you agree with the list and would you have picked Christina to be the most beautiful person?
I believe that she is multitalented and I think that her public fight with breast cancer has really helped her to be more visible to people. She has been an actress fo several years but I think that she is just now starting to get some of the attention that she deserves.

She is an attractive lady and she is multi-talented, but I do not think overcoming br*st cancer has anything to do with mental beauty or inner beauty. I mean there has to be more to being beautiful then fighting a popular condition, something like doing something that has no relevence on your fight against a specific disease.
Is she nice to her parents, considerate of the elderly, help those less fortunate either by donating money or visiting a village or doing volunteer work there? I am not just talking about Africa, but perhaps in the United States itself where poverty just does not have a dark face.

She is a very pretty lady though. I am not sure that she would have been picked if it wasn't for the fight with cancer. However, that is a hard battle to win and I was glad to see that someone knew she had been through it and recognized her for the hard time that she has overcome.

I haven't seen the magazine and didn't know the list had come out yesterday until I saw your discussion, but I do believe she deserves to be on the list! I think she is just truly adorable and has come such a long way from the overly made up, smart alecky teenager on Married with Children.

I think that she has matured so much and has gotten much more beautiful since she was on Married With Children. She has shown that she has turned into a beautiful young woman.

She is smarter than she was ever portrayed on the show and she has had a tough fight ahead of her,but I am not sure if I would have put her as the first on the list.

I am always shocked at some of the people that make the list of the 100 most beautiful people. I think that is because beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Sure many people admire others that have overcome challenges and have done humanitarian work, but then there is another side to that all together too. Like tax breaks and free publicity. When you look at it that way, it doesn't seem so beautiful.
But most importantly, I think that right now I am crushing on Hugh Jacksman, so if he is on the list then all is right with the world. LOL

I agree that the list is not always the people that I would have put on it. I wonder who decides who is on the list.
