I like sandwiches too but I eat that as my mierienda or snack only. I am more a rice person and I cannot stand a day without eating rice. My day is not complete without it. It is because I have a big appetite and I am use to it. The good thing is my metabolism is fast --- I am not fat. I guess I am lucky. I don't get full by eating bread only. Sometimes I eat rice then after a while I eat bread as a dessert (hahahahaha).

I do not eat bread everyday as it had a lot of carbs in it and i do like to stay away from it. If i am eating a pasta dish then i will have a piece of garlic bread and dip it in my sauce, if i eat lunch and have a sandwich i will have bread of course. I don't eat it everyday, for lunch i might have some type of pasta or even something else of course like a salad. For dinner i can have meat and i don't need bread to eat with that so i don't eat bread everyday.

I eat bread EVERY day. In fact I crave it every day. But because of the way I was brought up as a child, I am in the habit of always eating sandiches or toast at lunch-time which for me is around Noon. Every day as a child I would go home for 'dinner' (in fact this was lunch) around Noon as I always lived close to my schools and my mum would ALWAYS prepare sandwiches or toasted sandwiches for me. Now it is so ingrained in me that I INSIST on it all the time. I'm English but living in USA where in my opinion it's a lot harder to find decent (and cheap) bread as the supermarkets stock bread with preservatives (talk about sweet bread - I hate it). Back in England my favourite sandwich is a cheese, tomato and onion sandwich....mmmmm!!! You can't get those over here - cheese, tomato and onions on a sandwich are considered 'extras' and never the main ingrediens of a sandwich where I live which is too bad!
