Adam Lambert in the bottom two?

Philippines

Tonight it was really surprising and dissapponting when Adam was called in the bottom three together with Matt and Cris and then in the bottom two, when Cris was called and told he was safe(?) I was watching the show last night as I always do, just to see what Adam will do this night and as usual he never failed to surprise me, the audience and especially the judges. So it's really surprising, and I told myself if Adam will be voted out I will not watched AI again, coz what's the point? HE is the only one worth watching.

Just Like you, I was surprised when Adam was called in the bottom three along with Kris and Matt then Kris was called and said that he was safe. The remaining four contestants are all worth watching especially Adam Lambert and Allison.. Allison, at the age of seventeen, got a powerful voice.. I can't wait to see their performances next week and see who's going home next..

I am just as surprised as you are. Though I don't have much love for Adam, it's undeniable that he got extra ordinary talent. He really set the bar high in this show. But I have to disagree on your statement saying that "HE is the only one worth watching". Yes, he is one of those worth watching. But I believe that other contestants also what have it takes to be watched. They also have the talent that's why they reached this stage of the competition, in the first place. They might be not as over the top as Adam but certainly they have different styles in performing. Danny excels in the Rat Pack sound, Kris got the Jason Mraz vibe, Allison the rocker chic and Adam the over-all performer. All of them bring something different to the table so I think it is unfair to say that only one contestant is worth watching.

thank you, because I got used to seeing a total performance from Adam, though I know that others are also talented, I also like Danny but he doesn't have the uniqueness and performance level of Adam, so excuse me if I said that, it's just my opinion.

He is screechy and annoying. Just as many people that are buying into his image are disliking it, so that's why he landed in the bottom two.

I disagree with you that he is the only one to be watching. I am not thrilled with his performances. I do love his voice, but the theatrics that go with them aren't that great in my opinion. I was shocked that he was in the bottom 2! I was happy that Danny and Kris were in the top 3 because I really like both of them. I guess that nobody can get comfortable in this competition.

I was surprised to see Adam in the bottom 3 as well, but we have to remember that when it gets to this point they are all good performers. Daughtry got let go when there were 4 left and he was the best of the season. I wouldn't stop watching just because my favorite left, because all of the ones who are left will be getting record deals. Hang in there and just realize that you will see Adam again long after the show is finished for the season. Everyone is entitled to an opinion so don't be afraid to express yours.

You are totally right. Jennifer Hudson is a great example. Unfortunately they can't all be the Idol winner. But they go on to BE winners.

Thank you, and also another good example is Jennifer Hudson, who won awards not only in singing but most importantly for a good performance.

Well I think last night b3 is a shocker. But if we look closely, it is not surprising at all. Danny was finnaly show his potential on the song, he's totally boring before and I didn't understand why the judges pimped him so much. That's why he's in top 2 last night, giving a solid performance. And also, many people relates to his background story, as a a man stand up from his grief bla3... Allison and Kris got top votes also because the audience fear Simon's critique could make them be eliminated, so the audience and fanbase vote for them frantically. For me personally, Allison was the best that night. I love how she use her voice to sing a ballad song, and it really touched my heart. Adam actually also was giving another solid performance. The fanbase (and general AI audience I think) think anybody will vote for Adam as usual and choose to split their votes to save another person (Kris & Allison). This thing always happen all the time. See Chris Daughtry or LaToya. We think many ppl vote for the frontrunners, which made the fans are too lazy to vote for them. For Matt, well it was time to go anyway. He's been saved couple of times, and although also delivering good performance (checkout Melinda Doolitle's version during semifinals to see GREAT performance of the song, he will not be American Idol.

Maybe it's a wake up call from the voters who want the competition to be more than a one horse race. Although the judges seem to have set Adam on a pedestal week after week ...apparently not everyone is equally enthralled with the theatrics. Isn't this supposed to be a singing contest? Also the like-ability factor could be playing a part....especially when Simon slams contestants (Alison) for their apparent lack of self confidence. I'm sure there were many 17 year old voters who could empathize with Alison and voted to spite Simon's criticism. The air of "over-confidence" in Adam's last performance may have caused his drop to the bottom two. Actually I think this shake up is probably a good thing ... it helps even out the playing field. Now the other three contestants can actually feel they have a chance to win (rather than simply be runner-ups).

I'm with you about knowing Cris was safe. To be honest, I think he should be out of the show last week, but Anoop left. That's surprising too. I kinda like him being so different from others. As for Adam, I admire him so much. Everytime I saw him, I felt so excited about his voice and his performance.

I love Adam too, and I would love to see him win. In fact, I think he will win the competition despite the fact that they put him in the bottom 3. Did you vote for him? I think that Allison is the most talented in the competition....But the way I see it, she is soooo talented that she is set for life reguardless. But Adam.... He can sing! His range in incredible! I would like to see him win!

i think that's not true. Adam's not the only one worth watching in the show. Danny Gokey and Kris Allen are also worth watching. come on, yes he's good, but i'm not very crazy about Adam. vote for danny and kris everyone! haha!

I was surprised too since Adam is my favorite. It bothers me when they talk about who is getting voted off. The person leaving isn't necessarily the person most disliked. The results might be different if we were asked to vote on who we want kicked off instead of voting for our favorite.

I think it's not because Adam did a bad job. It's more of other contestants' supporters want to save their favorite who did bad from being voted out and Adam's fans being complacent thinking that their beat is in the safe side. I'm so happy for Adam and his supporters out there that last week was not the shocking surprise episode that we always witness in American Idol.

Yes as Simon said it still the voters' decision, like what happened to Jennifer Hudson and other talented contestants that didn't win, just hoping that Adam will make it. thanks!

I know. I totally freaked out when I heard about this. What shocked me even more was Kris being in the bottom 3. I mean, hello! He did excellent that previous night. I couldn't get it.Although looking back, they're just 5 people left afterall. I mean, having a bottom 3 is like..pretty normal? Cos you just have 2 people ahead of you. Just 2. Versus say, top 13, where there are like 10 other people who the viewers like better than you. I hope I'm making sense here. Haha. I just thought that Allison would be in the bottom not cos she did bad (cmon, has she really done a bad performance? No.) It's just that she was in the bottom a couple of times already. Don't get me wrong with Allison. I love her :)

Adam LAmbert, peoples favorite. Don't worry he will get the career because he got that voice.Their are lot's of contestants out there they are not the winner but still many talents scout will recruiting them, to make them shine or the star! Do you know Charisse Pengpenco from the Philippines I remember her she joined a singing contest she's not the winner, but look at her now.
