are there any river based english novel?

hai friends. i am doing phd on river based novel. i have gotten some novels in indian regional languages. but i am now in search of english river based novels. last time i have read only "and quit flows the don". are there any other river based novel in english literature or translated to english from other foreign languages. will someone help me?

The D.H. Lawrence novel 'The Virgin and the Gypsy' sounds as though it would fit in with your theme.

Hi, Just remembered another one, 'The Mill on the Floss' by George Elliot. Don't forget if you use it that George Elliot was actually a woman having to write under a man's name to get published at the time.
