Is drinking coffee harmful to ones health?

There are so many ppeople love to drink coffee, I also love to drink coffee too everytime i feel tired or exhausted, during cold wether and lonely momments, sometimes I cannot control myself I used to drink coffee four times or six times a day, it relaxes my burn out body due to too much work but according to other people it is harmful to drink coffee and bad to our health. Do you believe on this? please help.

I was just thinking of a nice hot cup of coffee before i came across your topic! Bad for the health? I thought coffee is an antioxidant? Oh, well gotta get up now boil some water and make me one of my favorites...Maxwell House three in one instant coffee! LoL! Hi, mhethess, care to join me? ^_^

Oh, i see you are a teacher! Do you teach preschool? You are one gifted, patient person. I admire people like you because I knew so early in my life, in grade one, that teaching is not for me. Well, i pray that God bless you even more for He is using you in molding the young minds...we just don't know, who could tell, maybe one of the little ones you teach now will one day become president of the Philippines! ^_^

yes mam, Thanks,Indeed I am an elementary teacher, and I am very thankful that the Lord has given the chance to be a part of the life of my students, It is not an easy task yet I really enjoy what I am doing. You can be a teacher too, to your children if you have? to your niece or nephew, or to any children you have met along your journey just be a good example live a life that is worth living Thanks God bless You. hi Mhethess, even i enjoy coffee a lot but now a day i have reduced the intake two cup one in morning and evening. I feel i am adicted to it , if i dont have i feel sleepy and without energy. Even i have heard that coffee is bad if we intake more. yes any thing excess is harmful :) Hope you also take control on the thirst for coffee.

Not get way in deep in this subject but...you don´t exactly get addicted to coffee. The right way of putting it is that your Brain get "addicted" to effects coffine has on your system. (in coffies case the coffine affects on the system (your system)).

If too much. But if you will practice moderation it would be beneficial. Like you drink coffee twice a day, it is ok. Coffee has antioxidants so it will benefit the body if taken in moderation. Happy MyLotting!

to much of everything is bad...a cliche but still applicable such as your issue. drinking coffee is not bad as long as you do it moderately but in your case, i think you are over drinking it since you drink coffee more than two times a day.

well anything you do in life is good and bad. Depending on how you look at it. Drinking to much water is bad for you (but a person of normal health would feel sick before this would affect your system permanently). I can´t see any problem with coffe. If you don´t drink to excess. If you are of normal health (and seen a doctor in the resent past). Anything that I can see is that it makes the content in your stomach more sydic, but so does many other things. And if this afects your system you can have "burning of the trought" (not sure about english translation). The other thing is the coffine. It´s jumpstarts the system but a cup of don´t contains that much. If you ever tried a energy drink (like redbull) and your heart did not start racing or you got overly "hyper". Then you are not overly sensite to coffine. And if this as you say "relaxes my burn out body due too much work" for that reason alone you should do it. Not relaxing your body and burning out leeds to way more dangerous affects on your body and mind than a little bit of caffine in your system.

As far as I know coffee is not bad to our health as long as you drink enough amount. But four to six times a day, i think it is not good anymore. You should limit yourself to 1-2 glasses a day. I think that enough. We all know that too much is always bad.

I really accept ur opinion..But Daily take coffe r affected in health this fact....So avoid and another drink is fruit juice.......these r very good in heath and ur complex also...

Coffee is not harmful as long as it's not taken excess. Based on many studies it actually even provides more antioxidants which is good for the body. It's not only the ability to keep you awake that benefits its drinkers but it's more on after effect benefits if it's taken in moderation.

And btw you should go to the doctor when you are healthy (or the most healthy you can be) for a regular checkup. If they find something you may be able to something about it change something diet and what not. If they don´t find anything great for you and the hospital have a baseline for you bloodworks. If you only take blood works when you are sick it´s not as accurate. Almost all illnesses affects the basic bloodworks (even the slightest). You can figure stuff out from the bloodworks you have done in the past (when you where sick) but it´s not an actual baseline.
