OK So be honest has anyone ever been quilty of saying the heck with it I am craving ice cream now and who cares what time of day it is I am eating some now for breakfast? I am guilty of this, I have been known to eat ice cream for breakfast and before anyone grips at me for not eating healthy for the most important meal of the day I usually do eat healthy, I usually eat oatmeal and a bran muffin or smothing like that, but like once or twice a year I just really crave ice cream and I have eaten it for breakfast and then I feel guilty, but dang it I LOVE ICE CREAM, but I do excerise and maintain a healthy weight. So how about you, are you guilty of breakfast ice cream??......LOL

Your really did it with this post! I got home from town a couple of hours ago and finished putting away the groceries, animal food etc and then decided to sit down and do a couple of posts before bed. Then someone had to post about ice cream. I had bought three half gallons of Dryers, and one of them is my favorite, Mango. So I left the computer and dished up a bowl of Mango. I have always loved ice cream, and when Mom was alive and we were living together, 4 p.m. was "ice cream" time. Kind of like the Brits with their tea. We would stop everything and kick back and have a bowl. The only thing that makes my mouth as happy is chocolate! I have had ice cream for breakfast, and even for lunch. And while people would say it's not "healthy", if you read the ingredients you will find that it does have some ingredients that are good for you. I raise my spoon to you, empty of the ice cream though as I just had another big bite.

I love ice cream and I eat it for breakfast especially in the summer. I cut up strawberries, bananas, walnuts or pecans and sometimes other berries and...Voila...better than cereal and it is better to eat such as this early in the day. There is a new brand by Haagan Daas called "just five" It has only five ingredients and no preservatives. It is yummy. They have flavors like Ginger, Passion Fruit, Chocolate and Vanilla bean. Nothing artificial.

Once in a while when I have that craving. Or if the kids are still asleep I'll help myself to a bowl. Otherwise I have to fight the kids over everything & we have to hide our treats or it's WWIII of listening to them complain bout why they deserve some. GRR....

i have to say, as much as i love ice cream i have never eaten it for breakfast. i have eaten it on a very hot summer night in place of dinner though! ice cream is just one of those guilty pleasures in life that cannot be denied. there are so many flavors that i enjoy that sometimes it is hard to pick just one. but my favorite is really coffee followed very closely by carvel's pumpkin.

I'm so fat now compared to my body 2 years ago. From 115 lbs to 165 lbs. And eating Ice cream makes me feel guilty especially if I saw my face in mirror with a double chin. I just love ice cream especially the very rocky road. I can sit down and eat the whole pint alone. If God forbids, I still want more and eat the whole half gallon. :)

hi, just like you i eat ice cream at anytime of the day, I can even eat it at the wee hours of the morning if I feel like eating ice cream. Though knowing how fatty it can be if you eat much I will surely balloon in less time. For now I am controlling myself with the fatty food that i am taking in but from time to time i give in to my food cravings that includes ice cream. LOL

Hey, you only live once, right? We can indulge every now and then in something we know is not that good for us... it's what keeps us sane! I honestly don't know a soul who craves only healthy foods. Everyone I know indulges in something decadent every now and then. I recently lost 25 pounds and was so very proud of myself. My goal was 30, but 25 works just fine. I didn't starve myself or eat 100% healthy foods. I snuck in some ice cream (and a few other things) every now and then. I did start eating healthier by adding more fruits and veggies and less red meat, and still eat that way, but I also treat myself to something special every now and then. It helps to keep me from feeling "deprived" and more apt to relapse into old eating habits. I see absolutely nothing wrong with eating ice cream for breakfast... or lunch or dinner for that matter!

Yup indeed! In fact you'll find many. As for me I'm a total foodie. It has made me quite an overweight too. :-P And definitely ice creams top the list. I enjoy every bit of it! Lol I melt faster than the ice cream itself! My fav is choco chips. The biggest irony is that I enjoy them the most during real chilling winters. Yea strange; dunno why it's so with me!

I have never had ice cream for breakfast, but don't see anything wrong with it if it's just once or twice a year. I love ice cream too. Blue Bell is assume, but the price keeps going up, we are paying $6 dollars a gallon for the good stuff!

Im not a huge ice cream fan. When I do get cravings for it, though, it is usually at really weird times of the day! Eating ice cream for breakfast is better than eating nothing for breakfast! I would be willing to wager that everyone has eaten something for breakfast that isnt normally considered a breakfast food! I always liked leftover homemade pierogies for breakfast! YUM!

I think I've done that before. Although usually the ice cream is late night cravings / snacks. Sometimes before bed, sometimes int he middle of the night. Ice cream is very good, but I usually don't eat very much of it unless we have it and are going to keep getting it.

Nope i am not guilty of eating ice cream for breakfast, if someone else in the house woke up and saw me eating ice cream for breakfast i would be in some serious trouble and it probably would be thrown away. I have never even seen or heard of anyone eating ice cream for breakfast and if you like it that much than i would be careful how much you eat per serving and when you eat it. Eating in to the morning may not be a bad idea since you would be walking a lot and getting those calories off you ate. Have a great day.

I absolutely love ice cream. I eat it all year long, even when I'm freezing in the middle of winter. I can say, though, that I have not had ice cream for breakfast. At least, not in as long as I can remember. I don't recall getting cravings for it in the morning. Any other time of the day or night is fair game, though.
