Do you feel time pass slow at work?

I remember when I was at work, I always look at the clock, when I first sat down, I waited for lunch time, after lunch time, I waited for leaving work. Bascially, I hoped to leave work everyday when I started working. When the days are busy, it was fine because I felt being occupied but for those days when there is nothing todo, it is really boring , made the days really long...
What do you think about that?

Hello mermaidivy,
Last time when I had not much work to do, time passed very slow. But now, I feel like time passes really fast that without realizing it, it is already the end of the day, or change of new month. Like now, I can't believe that it is already a month of May which means it is already almost half a year. There are just too many things I need to do and wow, time really flies!

Somedays I feel the same way. Usually it is not too bad, but there are times that the day drags on and on. I am finding that the time is passing even slower now that we are finally having some nice weather. If I have plans after work time seems to pass slowly as well.

You said it yourself dear friend. I believe time passing by is just in our minds. When people have less things on their minds, with nothing much to do they tend to get bored and look at time often. In their subconscious mind they are waiting for things to happen and the more they take a look at time, the longer it seems.
Everyone experiences that. As if time passes slowly making the day seem longer. But if we are busy, with lots of things to do our mind is occupied and thus we forget about time.
It's pretty amazing isn't it? It's really hard to explain how mind and things work all together.

When we don't look at the clock, it is better. Thanks for sharing! :-)

Hi mermaid...I know exactly what you mean. I wait for lunchtime when I have lunch with my son. Then I wait for the end of the day when I can be with him again. Then I count off the days until Friday when the weekend is here and I can be away from work for a couple of days. There are some days when time flies at the office and I can't work quickly enough to get everything off of my desk. There are other days when I could sleep from the boredom.

WHen one is busy time does go much faster than when they are not. I've noticed that too especially when all your tasks are done and you are just waiting for more work or something work related to occupy yourself for the timebeing. But when you are frustraited time goes really really slow as well. I'd rather have a boring or busy day rather than a frustraited day.

you right when i have very busy day is more easyer, time pass so fast, no problem, but when is a day more relax, is very hard, time pass so slow.
I am lucky because i can go when i want, if i want, but usual i stay all programm to see how things work there.
I am lucky, almost all my work days are very busy, and time run very fast.

When days were free like that, I kept looking at the clock and waited the time passed.
