Canon, Sony, or Olympus?

I like canon brand compared to the other two brands. The pictures were clear and the quality of it is great. I just compared my pictures last few days which was taken different brands of digital camera and it has a lot of differences even my camera is 3years old already but it has clearer picture than the other.

i think you should buy canon!if you want to search for good quality picture and good price you should choose canon!plus canon is very user-friendly,i had try to use it in the store to just check out camera and i think canon is easiest to use and very fall-resistant!i also plan to buy this brand very soon! hope that will be good help to you!huhu!

I have owned digital cameras from all three companies in the last year. Only the Olympus disappointed: high on features,low on picture quality. In the price range, both Sony and Canon have several fine cameras. I would suggest you go to a camera store or two and handle the cameras. Try to use them in sunlight: it is amazing how useless some LCDs are in bright light. For this reason and others, I would strongly suggest you get a model with a viewfinder, not just an LCD screen. The handling of cameras, the layout of their controls and menus varies a lot, but what is fine for one person might be useless for someone with bigger fingers, or who is left handed, or has arthritis etc...

Hi quennie_ghurl, I have a digtal cameara myslef but it is not of these brands. I have compact HP 5megipels cam. If you are are normal picture taker it is suggested that you not get the higher end cams that proffessional use but the lower end that most people can use. you should get one with at least 5 megipexels and that is good for gereal photography. for the brand name I would recomed Canon. I still have a Canon 35mm optical camera with i used for more than 10 years. I think you might be able to find what you are looking for there. also since you are still a univisity studet, it woud be best that you not go for the most expensive but the cheapest.
