Shoes or Bare Feet?

I prefer bare feet, I wish shoes weren't such a required thing. I am in my 40's now and still prefer the bare feet but slip on a pair of flip flops or clogs when I go out, only because I HAVE to! What about my fellow mylotters? Would you rather put on shoes or go barefooted? What kind of shoes do you wear?

Sandles because FL is so hot. If I am home, then socks. The floor is so cold at home! I don't like to be barefoot outside. It kinda grosses me out. But thats just me and how I was raised.

Well, see, I was raised in FL and I think that the hot weather is what made me hate shoes and prefer the bare feet thing.

I am the same way as you! I have always preferred bare feet to shoes. I remember growing up, we would run all over the neighborhood without shoes on! We would play under the trees on a blanket to stay cool. We would run around playing kick the can in the evenings. As we got older, we would even go for walks. We only worse shoes when we were told we had to! I now wear shoes because it is required. When I am at home, my feet are always bare! It doesnt matter what time of the year it is - summer, winter, spring or fall. People often ask me if my feet are cold. They never are - if you keep your body warm, your feet will stay warm too! I am just glad that there are options like flip flops and clogs that make it easy to go barefoot. When I am sitting somewhere - like church or a restaurant - I will often slip my feet out of my shoes. When I travel - in a car or airplane - I always take my shoes off. At least with flip flops and clogs it isnt as noticable to other people. When I am at work, though, I wear sneakers. I dont have a choice. I long for the day when I can stay at home and not have to worry about shoes anymore!
