IMDB is good just to have a small info about the movie. But if you want to know more, you can always refer to the wiki page of that movie. It's good to know that wiki has a page because you can find more info. There is a lot of information that wiki page contains, which is not even mentioned on the IMDB. So I prefer the wiki page. I do not really care ratings that are given to movies because I have liked movies which were rated 6 and I have hated movies which were rated 8. bourne PS: Welcome back

Thanks bourne for your warm welcome. I truly appreciate it. I didn't now that you could find details of movie on wiki. I have always thought wiki is more like a dictionary. This is a very cool info. Thanks bourne I will check out wiki in future and get a more detailed description.

I used to use Netflix for new movie information. I have stopped using them though as we have Dish Network now. You can search for new movie info through movietickets.com also.

I have 2 answers from this discussions. Imdb and wikipedia are the best sites plus others that other friends have recommended. Thanks for strengthening the choice there.

Usually, first I search what movies are available on one of my favorite torrent files, then refer to imdb for more information. I also like to look at imdb top movies list, and then try to see how many movies I have watched and which are the ones to watch

I like your detailed and organized method there. It is then easier to shortlist movies to watch from there. Cool.

Although I am not greatly into movies, Rotten Tomatoes is my favorite but about equally with your imdb. www.rottentomatoes.com Those are the only two I ever use, although some of your readers may make helpful suggestions that might change my habit.

Same here. I always like to equip myself with movie information before watching it so that I have a rough idea what to expect.

i use imdb as well. i dont think there is another movie database thats better really, because you can get all kinds of information about any movie, old or new, actor, tv show, tv appearances, and basically anything else in entertainment...

Exactly, my friend. It's like everything is under one roof and that's just so awesome. I like the spoiler part which is especially fool hardy for me since I don't have the intention to watch at all. LOL.

There are 3 websites which I for movie info. My main stop if I just want to know who is in the movie or facts about will be IMDB. Although the information is not always 100% accurate it is by far the best resource on the net for film information. But if I want to know opinions on films I tend to go to the Empire film site and also to Roger Eberts site. But then I don't always pay attention to the opinions, lol.

Hello zed_k4 , for getting more informatiion on newly released movies and older movies I go to the internet movie data base, imdb. It has so much information, I think it is the best for researching movies and even television programs.
