This I mean, love relationships. I'm posting this question because I've heard other people getting bored of longer relationships but just cannot tell their partners straightforwardly. What might have caused such boredom? Please share your thoughts on the matter. Thanks a lot!

Me and my boyfriend have been together for 3 yrs already. And we still enjoy each others company. I still feel giddy whenever he makes sweet gestures and stuff...and yes, his still sweet, like were still dating and stuff. I guess just treat your partner like the way you treated him/her back then when you were still in that courting stage. And always show how much you love the person.

It's the same with me. I still get butterflies in my stomach whenever he sends me sweet messages or does anything sweet for me.

i think everyone does long for a lasting relationship, something that will lead to a secured and loving relationship bound for the altar. when you actually have a long relationship in terms of the number of years, i dont think you will be bored if love is present. people get bored with things they do that they do not like very much. when you have your passion, you won't get bored

I love long relationships. I honestly don't like short ones. Long relationships allow you to learn about each other and what you want more from a relationship and a partner.

Well I guess I'm one of the few who DOES like long relationships and have always had them...I've never been in a short term relationship and really see no point in them BUT I'm also not one to just jump into a relationship...I know several ppl who have and/or do jump into relationships just for the sake of not being alone etc and thats just not my thing....

for me,although i have picked up with my girlfriend for about two years, i have no problem appears like you've said, but i dont know whether two years is long or not sometimes the situation you mentioned is reallly exist. i remember a guy said fresh love just can be only kept for three months at least, who is a famous taiwan writer called liao.people are always taken into this stuation below: something or someone that you need, then you catch up with them, but when you got, you'll never treasure them so this is not a problem about "you long for",the key is whether you have responsibility and truely love your partner or not

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 5 years. It hasn't been fun all throughout, but we worked out our relationship by being more open to each other and by being more responsive to each other's needs. I'm not bored with our relationship at all. I think getting bored depends on people's personalities and on how much partners love each other. It may also be because partners don't work hard on a relationship.
