If you speak English as a second language, are your thoughts heard in English or your primary language?

I'm usually dumb in my dreams. Me, and the people whom I encounter, in my dreams are like mime artists, we tell a lot by our expressions and gestures. You could say it's very dramatic(dreams).

Even though I'm Italian I think in English. But I can also force myself to think in Italian and French. Since I live where I'm surrounded by English, I guess that's why English comes first.

Well!! Its a natural thing that one usually thinks in his mother language. And same was the case with me!!! But...due a few years back I decided that I need to improve my english, and to do this I need to practice speaking english....So I started thinking in English....!!! I would have to search for the appropriate words in english!!! and soon I started thinking unconciously in english...!!! Now I think in English!!!

Thought is very dynamic. It can be on various topics, incidents and people. Actually I good in English as well as my local language. There fore which language I think in is very situation based. When I am in an english set up, I think in English. When I am with people who are my local language speaking people, I think in my local language. Thankfully my school and college as well as my parents made me good in both the languages so that I never fall short in any of them.

I think in English because it's easier for me as there are a lot of terms that is easier to be used in English. English is my 2nd language but still I prefer to use it. My first language is good but some terms are awkward if I use it in my primary language. So yes, I think in English.
