I almost did a cart wheel in the aisle of the drug store when I saw this little beauty! THEY FINALLY HAVE AT HOME TEST KITS FOR YEAST INFECTIONS! This home test includes a pee stick, that tests your ph balance in your urine, some females ACTUALLY prefer to just take the yeast infection medication whenever they "itch", this is stupid, because one, if it's NOT a yeast infection, then uh, yeah, you're causing the bacteria to grow stronger, in a way, and two, still if it's not a yeast infection, you may not know this, go to a doctor for further tests. Now, I KNOW it's awkward for EVERY female out there who has ever had a pap smear done, but I am ecstatic that this has finally come into existence. Besides the standard annual test females do, and should KEEP doing to help prevent cervical cancer, and other things, the pap exam was used more often whenever a female felt uncomfortable down there as well. Majority of the time, it was due to the yeast infection. But NOW, with this beautiful, BEAUTIFUL invention, we now have more reason to cut the more than a yearly visit, down to the PROPER yearly visit, aka, ONCE a year! Who else is rejoicing this??? WHO I ASK??? ME!

Oh not too long, I read it in the news just a few days ago in the metro paper. It measures the PH balance, and hopefully that's all it NEEDS to tell you accurately if it's a yeast infection or not. Maybe there's a checklist with the kit? That would be cool. Thanks for responding and happy myLotting!

This sounds like an excellent idea! After all, if you can have DIY pregnancy tests, why not have self-testing for other things? I haven't had a pap test for over 20 years, and I wish we could buy THOSE from supermarkets.

Here in Australia, the Government sent out bowel cancer test kits last year - I think to men over 55. It had a stamped envelope so the men could send their sample back and have it tested. My husband is really naughty, and refused to do his - but it's a brilliant idea, and I hope all the other men completed their tests and benefited from it!

I KNOW! It would make so much easier! Like if they make the pap home kit, it should include a little postage paid stamp, take the sample, mail it out, wait for results. It WOULD be difficult though to do I think though....but awesome idea! And why so long? They help prevent issues! Thanks for responding and happy myLotting!

I agree whatever I can do myself at home is such a great improvement over having some stranger handling my naked body. I hate it and I will tell I die but I go every year for the Pap.
