Hi springs, There is a slight harm in sleep excess because our mind becomes dull and we can't take quick decision at the right time.If we sleep like that without doing any work, our mind can't think vigorously. There is a saying that "No work no play makes a person dull".just keep this in mind.So sleep as how much your body requires and try to do some work which helps you be active always. Have a nice day

well i think it is not as so , but definitely if you sleep too much and lie on the bed to much then your body can suffer a bit.actually you can not sleep more than 8 hours a day, if you sleep more than that hour then either you are ill or you have not completed the previous 8 hour sleep that is y you are sleeping that sleep now.this situation is also called as sleep depth.

Nowadays I try to catch up with my sleep since I get a lot of dayoffs. I guess for me sleeping too much may be harmful because I am getting bigger and bigger every time I check the mirror. There is a huge fat that has accumulated on my behind and back due to sleeping. I try to get more exercise after that though... Arrgh!!
