i know that we are not all catholics here, and i know that muslim people don't eat pork, pork today have been banned from other countries because of this rapid growing influenza virus which they think came from swines. but inspite of this, i still eat pork but not to the point of eating a lot.

i dont know if i am right, but i think the influenza virus coming from the pigs cannot be transmitted when you eat pork? i think you can be infected by that if you came contact with an alive pig with the virus. i dont know. i may be wrong. to answer the topic, yes, i still eat pork.

You are right. You can't get it from actually eating the cooked pork. You get it from actual live contact from the pig or another human that is infected with the virus. Still a scary thought

yes, you're right. you won't get infected by the virus after eating pork. you can get infected from person who have it already by hugging or kissing. that is why it is just safe to eat pork today as long as you cook it well.

Swine Flu does not come from eating pork, so I have no problem with continuing to eat it. I actually have had it twice now this week. What scares me is all of the sick people around me. I'm a teacher and I work with and see SEVERAL different people each day. Seeing them coughing and sneezing all over the places is what makes me nervous. I just can't wait until this is all cleared up!

No, I don't eat pigs but it is not because of any religious reasons. It just because I feel like it is not a healthy food to eat. I just get disgusted thinking about pigs.

I very rarely eat pork, myself. The reason why I don't eat it is because I know it's fattening. I do like to have barbeque, especially on the 4th of July, which is a national holiday here in the states. Like you, I don't eat pork all the time. It's not exactly one of my favorite foods. Kathy.

Hi, Kathy, for most of the CHinese people, pork is the most important meat of our food. and like the other Chinese ,I eat a lot of pork. But I'm not fat,I'm thin, and most of the Chinese people are thin, maybe because we eat many vegetable too~~ of course, I like beef too.~~Eating beef can make a strong body~~

that is one of my questions why chinese people are skinny, is it just because of their genes? i love seeing chinese people, they have beautiful skin and long shiny hair.
