Very upset about child support

Hi. I am so upset right now. My ex husband is suppose to be paying his child support, but he isn't. Actually, I don't know where to put the blame. He got a new job about 6 months ago and ever since he got this job the support comes for about 2 months, and then stops. So I have to call child support recovery and tell them and then they tell me AGAIN that they have to give them 10 days to get it in. Which is making it the 15th of this month. I usually have to call them numerous times to complain and have something done. They said the last time this happened the employer said "I keep forgetting to send it" BULL ... My ex says they send it in every week so it must be child support messing it up. I just can't take this anymore. This is all I am living on because I am disabled and can't work. My disability case is in the appeal process. My utility bill is due monday and I can't pay it now because of these jerks. I am so sick of going through this over and over again. I wonder if there is anyone at child support .. management or something that I could talk to about this??? Any suggestions???

I would ask to speak to a manger or a director of that management, then also even after you talk to them ask that manager or whatever for theirs and so forth. Just go through the chain of command...stuff will be done then.

You know that saying "the early bird gets the worm"? Well so does an impatient one too! I mean that in the best of ways hon! Call them SOB's up (your ex's job) early in the morning and ask them if the child support payment has been sent out yet. And if it hasn't then ask them when will it be sent out? They should give you a time frame and I'd call again later on that day and continue to do so until I get on their nerves so bad that they'll never forget me again!!

I wish I could call his employer but I can't. I don't even know their name. Child support knows it but they won't give it to me. So I have just deal with this. I think its very unfair. Especially to my son. The lady at child support yesterday told me I shouldn't rely on just this money to live on and to have a second income. Well, don't you think I would if I could work????? It makes me so mad. I really wish I would hear something from disability. They just take their own sweet time. I just hope it dosent take years. I hate that I have to live on this support but I can't do anything else. If I could only find a job I could do online. Then I wouldn't be in this trouble!

I take it that your ex won't tell you either? If he's concerned at all about where his money is going then he should be checking into it in a hurry but then again some are procrastinators from hell and can only wonder if he's one of them.

I understand your frustration. My son's father is supposed to pay a whopping $50 a month. At first it came like clockwork, no problems at all. The first time it was late I called the child support office and they began garnishing it from his wages.
Unfortunatly his work is seasonal. He only works in summer, so when the summer was over, they could no longer garnish his wages. At first that wasn't a problem because he still paid.
Over the years he's gotten sloppier and sloppier with his payments. He started not paying in the winter, but in Spring when his season started up again he'd send double payments every other week, so it caught up. Over the past few summers he's paid less and less, and so far this year I've only gotten 1 payment, although normally my payments start coming in March or April at the latest.
I did go down to child support in the beginning of April and a week later I had $100. I haven't gotten anything since. I'm going to have to call them again, because this is getting ridiculous!

Yes it is rediculous! Although I don't know your situation, This is my only income because I can't work due to health problems. I have alot of them. I get so mad that I can't go out and make a living. Then my son would have a better life. But I can't help what has happened to me. I am waiting for disability, and I just pray it comes soon. I have only been living on $66 a week! I don't know how I have managed this long. I keep looking for some way to make money online, but they are all scams. My computer is old, but I am sure it would work for simple typing or data entry. But I can't find anything. I wish you luck in getting what you and your child derserves. I think the government has gotten worse and worse.
