I have been looking for a while now for a large free online storage. And I just want to share with you guys this site that I found, which is really useful in storing and making back up files. ADRIVE.COM is a website that gives you 50gb. of online storage space for free. One thing I really loved about this site is that, I was able to store all the mp2 music files that I have downloaded. Before, whenever I have to reformat my computer, I still have to burn it on a cd, and sometimes I need a lot of cds just for my music back-ups. Worse than that, whenever my computer had totally crashed and there's really no chance for me to make copies at all, I have to download everything again which is really a big hassle for me. It also has a user-friendly interface. It actually looks like the real drive on a computer when it comes to navigating the site. And yes, this is also perfect for storing Office files. I usually work in different locations and there are some files that I need to move from one place to another, once in a while. I used my email before to do that, but there are some files that are too large and can't be sent through email so I have to either send it using another site or use a flash drive to store it. Right now, my files are more organized and stored in just one place. I don't have to worry anymore about sending large files or losing my flash drive, I just have to login to my account whenever I needed to download or upload files. I wonder if there's any mylotter here who are using the site? How was your experience with it? Is there any other site that has more than 50gb. storage?

I've been using ADrive since awhile and I have to say that I'm very satisfied, even with the free package. I have my music collection stored on it and I never lost any song on ADrive. However, I don't like uploading files to their site because it is using some strange uploading application which makes your web browser unusable. When the upload is finished, you can use web browser again so I recommend having two web browsers. You can login wherever you are and you can also upload files one every PC that is connected to the Internet! I strongly recommend! Happy mylotting and take care!

Thanks fadolf for replying. You know what, I experienced that same thing when I tried to use it on my room mate's computer. I can't open another tab while I was loading files. Thank God, she uses Internet Explorer and Firefox, so I will use adrive to either of the two, then surf the net on the other one. But I was surprised, when I tried to use it on my own computer, I thought the same thing will happen. But when I started uploading files, and out of curiosity, I tried to open another tab to test if it's not gonna work also, but it did. So I am not really sure if it's with the browser or what, but I am using Internet Explorer. I don't know what kind of browser you are using right now, but you could probably try it also that way. Yes, I totally agree with you with the music collection. That's been my long time problem, I really like music so I have tons of music downloaded but I don't have a place to store it. So I was really happy with Adrive.com! Happy mylotting!

I'm using ADrive on Firefox, and I haven't tried it yet on the Internet Explorer, Chrome, etc., but actually it isn't something that bothers me because I have 2 browsers, one that "isn't working" and one that "does"...

THANK YOU for this great information! I've never heard of adrive before, but it sounds like it's just what I need. My husband installed a 3 1/2 inch disk drive on my computer, then handed me about 100 3 1/2 inch disks! He wants them all uploaded because, well, they're 3 1/2 inch disks! LOL Almost as outdated as VHS tapes. I'm going to get adrive right now so I can finally get rid of all these disks sitting here in my office. Again, thank you!

You're very much welcome mentalward! It's my pleasure to share this also cause it's really helpful, and I honestly cannot think of a topic right now, but since I'm using it right now while mylotting, I just thought of writing about it. By the way, how come you guys are still using those disks? Happy mylotting!

Oh, my god! I wish you luck mentalward! Don't forget a cup (or should I say cups) of coffee by your side while doing it!

Oh, we're not using them... they just kinda got put away a long time ago and forgotten about. Most things on them are worthless, but there are some with family photos and stuff, so I have go upload them somewhere. There are a LOT of family photos! (I've always loved my digital camera, since my very first one which took only 640 kb photos!) I also have a lot of recipes and gardening info on these disks, plus my husband has lots of information from his former business many years ago that he'd like to look at. So, it's my job to upload them off of these 3 1/2" disks. I've actually already gone through about 15 of them. Sadly, my calculations were wrong... there must be about 300 of these disks, not 100. You'll know what I'll be doing for the next few weeks.

That is true I have signed in this site and so far my consumption is less than 2 gB so I have plenty of space more to store more files. I even was able to store my files from home which many times have crashed on me. if only I could have known about this site was I could have save a lot of files before my last PC crashed badly. Now I am using a newer PC and having Adrive.com I would be able to save my files already and try to restore it online if in case that would happen again.

I have been using some online free storage before. But no one can offer a space up to 50 gb. I think this is interesting and worth to try. But how about their upload and download speed? Are they have any special connection for faster upload and download? Or we must upgrade in order to have a faster speed? Anyway, thanks for sharing. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.
