have you ever called in sick when you werent? I never have before but today I need a mental health day, so I called in and said I am sick. I feel guilty but I really kind of need a break. I am allways there and cover for everyone else even when it means double shifts. so, have you ever called out when you werent really sick and what kind of excuses have you used. also did you feel guilty?

Yup, there are days that I really feel mentally exhausted, and unwilling to turn up for work. However I would make sure that these are relatively free days, that is, no scheduled appointments & meetings and outstanding tasks. Then I would call the office, and use the migraine excuse!.

Don't feel guilty, you just need a day off. Sometimes we all get that way. I do hope you feel better, I also hope you have a wonderful relaxing weekend to recharge your batteries.

I would make all sorts of excuses for bunking when I was in school. At that time there was no limit to the number of excuses one could come out with. Ofcourse now that I have grown I find the things I have done as a kid really very silly and foolish. Am not yet working now so do not have to report sick as such.
